For the people talking about his speed need to rewatch it and keep your eyes on him after he bust through hole and gets to the second level how he takes off

That's what I saw too. Big time burst of speed at that point. I see why he is 5*.

The only problem I have is that he isn't wearing purple and gold. We need to fix that!

Agree, thought he would look faster
Pretty unique running style though
Hoping to see him in P and G

I'm confused by the people talking about his speed. On most of the long runs, he's just coasting and nobody is gaining on him. On the second run, he actually shows his top gear starting about the 45 before eventually slowing down after he's burned everyone.

It is what it is.... he is not a burner.

You do not have to be a track star to be a great rb.

I saw Davis play this year and one thing that concerned me is that he needs a runway to get going. UHigh ate him up because they blew up everything in the backfield. If he got to the LOS he was pretty effective but any contact in the backfield and he was done.

The same was said of Hershel Walker. Hit him before he gets a head of steam or turns his shoulders square to the LOS and he goes down easy, but once he's square and going good luck stopping him.

He's fast in these highlights but compared to his highlights from his Sophomore and Junior years - there's a noticeable difference.

Sophomore Yr - hudl
Mid-season Junior Yr - hudl

I like Davis much More I never really see Elite when I watch his film. But this is high school. He doesnt seem have elite quickness or top end speed for 206. If he was 230 like Davis it would be more impressive. There are several highlights in this film that in college He gets caught from behind quickly and tackled. These are high schoolers catching up to him in open field sprints. When I Watch Davis Highlights. He blows by people and they don't tackle him because they are on their back.

This is just absolutely false. The only times he's "caught" in that film, he's tackled by a safety who starts 15 yards off the line. Not sure why supposed LSU fans are making up bullshite about an elite LSU recruit at this point.

Please, tell me an exact time in that video where he's caught in the open field so that I can destroy the claim directly.

That’s true. But he does have elite speed. He breaks away almost every time.

Exactly. He's still fast, we are just going off of his previous highlights.. He's also noticeably bigger.. which should be a great thing given he still runs fast to me.

I agree. I didn't see him run down.
I suspect the reason he appeared faster as a Soph. no one expected him to be fast so he surprised them. Now the opponents are preparing for a fast man and are taking better angles.
