I guess Diarse felt Henry was a homerun hire.

I hope he ends up being the recruiter we expected. All signs are pointing to yes. I think it was a pretty amazing job how quickly he convinced Diarse...

Henry seems to laying it on Desean Smith too.

Guessing this was the boom. I figured as much since someone commented about Ruston and that a few said he was a sting Bama lean.

After thinking about it...Diarse reminds me of Jack Hunt.

Hunt was an outstanding athlete for Ruston back in the late 90s and whenever Ruston played football Hunt was clearly the best player on either side of the ball. He played WB in Tommy Reeder's offense and they gave him the ball as often as they could. He also played S. After Saban signed him to LSU, he started out playing WR before switching to S halfway through college. He ended up starting at S on our 2003 NC team.

I remember watching Hunt play against Ouachita and being amazed at his playmaking ability. He just had great football instincts. He did not have blazing speed but he had good size (especially for that time) and was just a playmaker...he had "it"...the X factor. After watching Tyrann Mathieu almost single-handedly beat West Monroe two years ago (scored 3 TDs), I knew Mathieu had it too. After watching what Diarse did to West Monroe, I got the same feeling.

Let's hope he actually goes to LSU when it's all said and done.

Diarse is gonna be a future All American and is the best player in La in the last few years. Dude is a gamebreaker and an exceptional young man and ambassador for lsu.

Ps: wassup bama lurkers?

I really don't know but I think he is going to end up being a DB at LSU and not a WR. I just don't think he will see the field for a long time at WR and that alone might get him in the defensive backfield in 2014.

No, he won't just jump to #3. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he redshirted. Nothing against him at all. I've been a huge supporter of him since he was a freshman. Still, LSU will have a lot of experienced WRs in 2013.

He scored once his sophomore year and once his junior year. Not sure what you're talking about against WM. Now Bastrop...he was like VY against USC.

Paul Turner and Diarse are eerily similar. Turner will have a 2.5 year head start on Diarse with the playbook as well as the weight room. OBJ, Landry, Wright, Boone, Williams, Fobbs, Turner...a lot of experience for a true freshman to jump over.

From a pure talent standpoint Turner is probably more talented than Diarse. The difference is the "it" factor that John has. Still agree with you though if Turner plays to his talent.

Our wr corps is actually pretty talented. They just haven't done much. QB play had something to do with that but also less than stellar development on some of the kids parts. If Henry can't get the best from some of these kids then it just isn't going to happen.
