:This thread is not to bash John Curtis, Coach Curtis, CNS or Joe McKnight: (If you want to do that, start your own thread)

This was on the front page of Rivals:

quote:

In recent years the LSU football program has had some hits and misses with prospects from perennial powerhouse John Curtis High School.

Have we had any recruits from JC turn out well for LSU? I know Carnell Stewart was a starter, but that was after he transfered from DL to OL and he didn't really do that great there.

Also, how legit are the three guys from JC this year?

Luke Charpentier (Has legit size)
Jonathan McKnight (Has an offer from Bama and Tulane)
Walker Ashburn (???)

Thanks

He was the best right tackle we had on a BCS Championship team.

I think Barksdale as a freshman was better than Stewart and it was commonly considered that he was our weak link on that team. He was a starter, but didn't quite live up to his billing as a four star defensive lineman.

I haven't seen Clean for a few months and I actually think he could be helpful in this thread.

I disagree. However, Hitt was a Redshirt Sophmore and Stewart was a 5th year Sr.

Also, Hitt was a three star with one scholly offer from LSU. Stewart was a 4 star Rivals 100 with offers from LSU, Flordia, USC, Michigan, Colorado, etc.

That being said, Stewart was the only football player from JC, save kicker Chris Jackson, that ever really became a starter, unless I'm missing someone else...
