Just go back to 1 signing day then you alleviate them signing early but dragging it out. Ya they could be solvents but that happens now
Or go back to when schools were allowed to sign 5 early enrollees and the rest in national signing day

I thought that was a NCAA violation to speak to someone with a signed LOI. So they putting all these schools in trouble?

I may be in the minority but I feel like Jimmy is usually right with his thoughts on the whole recruiting atmosphere these days. A few years back he was against kids listing how many offers they had every time a new school offered them and he said he would no longer retweet kids doing that. He even admitted he may have played a role in that development but no longer wanted to encourage it.

Yeah, I definitely understood the idea behind the ESD, but now I think it has more negatives than positive. You have Texas signing almost an entire class then firing their coach yesterday.

The LSU coaching staff needs to get much better at recognizing the drama queens who show they are not really serious about playing their ball here, and are just all talk.
Seriously, why should we bother to invest so much time into recruiting some of these kids who show by their actions they won't pen their name to paper when the time comes.

Jimmy is only mad because earlier he posted a smug thread about how Jardin Gilbert will be a tiger and everyone else will soon catch up to him and start reporting this. Not only was jimmy completely wrong, it was not even a possibility because Gilbert had already signed with A&M.

We always discuss giving the kids their moment to announce their commitment and I’m all for that, because these young men bust their butts off for scholarship offers. Coaches still pursue athletes that are committed to other schools and I know it goes both ways with some athletes still shopping around (taking visits before rona). It sounded as though 247/ NBC wanted these young men to make their announcements yesterday and may have pushed that. Don’t know all the info, but I don’t blame the young men for having their moment to shock the world.

The adults don't make the kids continue to lead on coaches at other schools. Why even spend your time doing zoom calls with recruiters and telling them you're going to their school when you've signed with someone else weeks ago. That's weird to say the least.

247, Rivals, ESPN and so on all ask the kids to make public and televised announcements. I was in the recruiting business. Trust me when I say some adult who stood to make some sort of benefit asked Leigh to do this.
