No Chris Allen...WTF?

Didn't even click on it because I knew it was a slideshow! Wish they knew how irritating that is!

Thanks for that link. I haven't started following the '17 class, so that slideshow was the first footage I've seen of Marvin Wilson. That dude could be a monster (in the best possible way, of course).

I hate how they use slideshows instead of just writing an article.

That's the easier way out.

I do too, but it generates more "clicks" for the website.

Anyone else feel Jimmy's predicted class is a little light on offensive skill players? I'd like to add another high level back in there.
What happened to Ben Miles' recruitment?

We only need 2 RBs & 3 WRs. We just brought in 3 WRs and will only lose 2 after this year. We also will only lose Fournette after this season. No reason to bring in 3 RBs or 4 WRs. 2 and 3 makes sense.

Wants to go his own way, not play for dad. Miles' kids have all went elsewhere. Moffitt's kid also will likely go his own way.

I should have clarified. I meant light on quality, not quantity. I'm really trying not to be a star gazer here.
I love where we are at QB in this class. I'm not sold on CEH and Etienne being an LSU caliber RB class though. Right now, Etienne doesn't even hold an offer. I think CEH is great, but LSU has always been able to grab multiple high level backs. It seems like the coaches are aiming higher and I'm confident they will get one of their top targets at RB.
WR would look good with that class, but I'm not at all confident it happens. Guidry has stated that Alabama is his leader and his dream school. I know it's not over until it's over, but LSU trails on that one right now. Without him, where does that leave LSU at WR? I know they are expecting a huge group next year.
It just seems like there is a lot of uncertainty right now at those two positions. They aren't high priority positions for this recruiting cycle though.
Much respect to the Miles' kids for wanting to blaze their own trail. I see Boston College and Nebraska are two programs Ben is high on. Not bad options if he ends up at either of those.

What about the kid out of Tennessee, Stevens? He was a commitment before the end of the year fiasco.
Georgia has the Lead but we still hold second. Plenty of time to make up ground but it won't be easy

if we get Harris and Delpit, I don't see Stevens coming
that would be 3 top safeties

The Swillings aren't coming to LSU, happy others are starting to realize that.

CEH is underrated by the sites. The coaches have been on him for a LONG time and offered him before his junior season even. He'll make a very good back here. Dont sleep on Cam Akers, a lot of the big guys are afraid to put him in our class right now because he's from Mississippi and we all know how those Mississippi schools seem to poach those kids up to the 11th hour, but Akers doesnt even care about MSU and Ole Miss under Freeze doesn't use RBs, so we have a lot working in our favor there. Akers is absolutely on that Guice level too.

We'll see where Guidry stands after this weekend, he's supposed to come to the Bayou picnic on Saturday...he could be just coming off a visit high to Alabama. I think it was his first major college visit. Simply put, we're not going to land multiple big time studs this time around at WR. Consider the last 3 classes we've landed:
Drake Davis
Stephen Sullivan
Dee Anderson
Tyron Johnson
Derrick Dillion
Malachi Dupre
Trey Quinn
Every single one of those guys were Top 25 WRs NATIONALLY coming out of high school except Anderson who was still a strong 4-star and probably not Top 25 only because he couldnt play his senior season. you're just not going to keep landing multiple guys like that every class. The good thing is we're set at WR for years to come as it is. 2018 we'll be right back to those previous classes as well in terms of multiple top talents at WR.

Why? Are they just dead set on leaving the state?

I understand, but Bama has landed some great WRs recently too. It doesn't appear that he is too concerned about competition.

Just don't see it happening, I fully expect them to go out of state.

Add Jazz to that list also...

Leaning to Georgia right now. And since the staff has gotten super involved with Grant Delpit, they haven't seemed to make Stevens as much of a priority. That's how I'm seeing it from an outside perspectacle anyway. He's supposed to visit again though. They could turn up the heat with him
