Lester, flynn wasnt a very good passer. He was actualky the better runner out of our 3 qbs. He kooked terribke when he came in on mop up for jmarc. The peach bowl he set the tone with his runs. Now in the offseason after tge sugar bowl flynn and doucet said they practiced every day playing pitch and catch basically and by the start of the season it showed. Flynn was also a tigerland goer. Some people just grow up.

Randall, who opened plenty of eyes when he won the camp's long-distance passing competition with an 81-yard throw.

Now that...that is a boom.

So how exactly did we get this kid from Oregon?

Seems like his abilities fit their offense pretty well. Not to mention what he said about Florida. However, I can see Florida dropping out of the question when Meyer left.

He didn't qualify academically for Oregon, but did for LSU the last I heard.

Yes he would have fit perfectly in Oregon's system and duck fans were calling him the next darron thomas(also a former LSU commit). But ole chip pulled his scholly offer(despite all that don't sleep with other women talk) and didn't save his spot once he learned Randall was having possible qualifying issues. I believe Wilson called him up and said he still had a spot with LSU if he wanted it. That made a strong impression on him and after getting his academics in order he committed.

It will come down to his head, because there is no question about his feet and arm. If he "gets it", he will be good, but thats always the hurdle. Qualifying issues give you some concern at QB, but we needed depth. We only have Mett, and Rivers for next year, without him. Hope this kid has the work ethic!!

Someone said they would rather have brains from a qb instead of a good arm but we already have one jarret lee think about it

Yes it seems like the Tigers have plenty of WR/ CB types. The team's QB future after Mett with Randall & Rivers, plus the 2012 QB recruit(s) should look much better than it has for the last few seasons.

I love how he was able go make quick decisive throws. And to the poster that assumes he doesn't have the brains for the position, what are you basing this on? I've known plenty of people who were not hookworms but just had a knack for understanding football and performing on the field. Randall just might be the #1 recruit in the 2011 class. I'm anxious to see him develop.

yes hes a player ive been following for a long time before he ever committed to Oregon so I was both shocked and pumped when we got him. I have a feeling this guy is going to be special for us no matter what position he ends up at.
