247 Recruiting just put up a short highlight video of his scrimmage this year, and to me, I would be going after him hard. This guy is an absolute need, and if he only has the tackle blocking him, he causes havoc.

Here's the link:

Rasco Scrimmage

Here's some more highlights of him:

I agree we got to get Rasco.

We are loaded at DE right now, but Adams will be a senior next year. Ferguson might turn into a DT, or at least a DE/DT like Pep & Jean-Francois. And Jordan Allen could possibly be moved depending on how he puts on weight.

Montgomery, Mingo, & Rasco would be a nasty trio coming off the edge.

Someone call the LSU coaches and let them know about this hidden gem.

It almost seems like we cooled off on him. Even if you don't put him at DE, he could be a VERY dominant OLB. There is no way this guy should leave the state of Louisiana unless he absolutely hates LSU

As of now, I don't think he is going to LSU. Earlier update said he wasn't in contact with LSU that much...so yea, all while he was showing other schools love over the summer.

I just don't get how you stop communicating with such a great athlete. Are we going to get Clowney? If so, okay, but we aren't. Rasco is an elite talent within the state, and now it looks like we are a far 3rd behind FSU and Texas. Someone on the LSU staff needs to get their arse in gear and lock this kid up

His coach played for Texas and he goes to Evangel. Not really feeling good about the chances he goes to LSU.

I honestly don't think hes a priority at all with LSU's logjam at DE. Montgomery/Mingo are both in the same mold as him and Freshman. I doubt LSU wants him to leave the state but he just isn't in a position of immediate need.

That might be why they slowed up on him. Either way, it shouldn't be a excuse.

You do know that there are times in the year when coaches CAN NOT call recruits rights. It's normally about this time when you get a response like that from a recruit.

This was even before that period came up. For all the commits that we have that are recruiting for us, someone needs to get on the phone with him

GeauxAggie and Deuce,

No offense fellas but you're way off here.

First, he won't be moved to OLB, he's a pure take as a DE.

Second, he's absolutely a monster priority for this staff. He's either 1 or 2 on the board with Greg Robinson.

Third, he comes from Evangel which is far from LSU country. LSU and Texas both have help on the Evangel coaching staff, but this will come down to how LSU performs this season. 10+ win season and he'll be in purple and gold.

Really wish we coulda gotten him in for more camps so he could get closer to this special group of recruits.

I know he's not an OLB, but I was just saying by watching his videos, he could be one at the next level or if he was a part of a 3-4 defense. I just don't like, if what you say is true, the lack of stuff coming out for those top two on our board in regards to interest in us. With Rasco, you always hear Texas and FSU, and everything Auburn about Robinson.

I like our chances with Robinson more as he has already said that a good year will get us him, but I think the longer he sits around, the more Trooper gets in his head. Both teams will have holes at OT next year (Auburn loses both, while LSU loses Barksdale and Hurst shouldn't be a starter)

They're both just saying the right things so they don't hafta backpedal if LSU has another mediocre season. If LSU has a bigtime season, they'll both be Tigers.
