Since 2000, LSU has twice as many All-Americans as Ohio State, twice as many award winners, more DB’s drafted in rounds 1-4, and significantly more highly successful players in the NFL.

Where are you getting this information?

Since 2000, Ohio State has 17 individual award winners. LSU has 14.

Since 2000, Ohio State has 9 consensus all-americans. LSU has 4.

Since 2000, Ohio State had 19 DBs drafted in rounds 1-4. LSU had 17.

Also, I don't think Rick's is flipping.

I do think it's hilarious LSU fans were convinced he was moving to Baton Rouge, and he had to publically correct the record.

I can’t name a single one of their non-Saints DB’s in the last 20 years off the top of my head

OSU had Lattimore Conley and Hooker be first rounders in one year a couple seasons ago. 3 first round DBs in one draft.

Most overrated draft stat I’ve heard. How often do 3 DBs from the same team even declare for the same draft? Could happen for LSU this year though if Stevens has a great season and declares.

Well, I mean he and his parents might have considered it as an option. It is also possible that his parents might be moving there. After all, he just said he wasn't living in Baton Rouge.

The fact that a 17 year old recruit has to publically deny his living wearabouts because a hoard of football fans is pretty damn funny.

I mean that's kind of the point. All 3 of them left early and went in the first round. How is 3 first rounders going in the same draft an overrated stat when we are talking about schools pumping out high draft picks?

Because Ohio State fans for some reason assume him flipping is all but a formality so the living situation rumor took off.

All I’m gonna say is Ricks’ family did move to Baton Rouge... maybe he just didn’t like the highschools in the area and wanted to play against the best of the best...

We’re talking about defensive backs.....why jump in a conversation randomly with a bunch of random stats if you don’t know what’s going on?

And I quantify “highly successful NFL players” by the fact that we have Tyrann Mathieu, PP7, Jamal Adams, Tre White, etc. while they have....? Fill me in?

My understanding is that it was one guy, but if you need to make up additional details for a chuckle, have it.

Eh, once you take out Patrick Peterson, who is arguably more effective on ST than Defense, there isn't much of a gap. OSU claiming that their DBs is in no way a stretch.

Eli Apple (2018: 62 tackles, 1 FF, 2 INTs)
Marshon Lattimore (2018: 49 tackles, 4 FF, 2 INTs)
Malcolm Jenkins (2018: 79 tackles, 3 FF, 1 INT)
Malik Hooker (2018: 30 tackles, 2 INTs)
Denzel Ward (2018: 41 tackles, 1 FF, 3 INTs)
Vonn Bell (2018: 61 tackles, 1 FF)
Gareon Conley (2018: 24 tackles, 3 INTs)

Tyrann Mathieu (2018: 70 tackles, 2 INTs)
Patrick Peterson (2018: 45 tackles, 2 INTs)
Tre White (2018: 44 tackles, 2 INTs)
Jamal Adams (2018:86 tackles, 3 FF, 1 INT)
Donte Jackson (2018: 63 tackles, 1 FF, 4 INTs)

Where in any of this is there a large gap of results?

OSU has Roby too although I'm sure LSU has a couple more guys not on that list for sure.

Ohio State fans are just like any other fan base of a team that has had a reasonable amount of success in the past few years. They assume every high profile recruit that mentions them is going to flip to them. This thread has devolved into a “Which school is the real DBU?” argument because it’s pretty obvious that the recruit in question isn’t flipping.

Of course. That's how internet fandom is.

LSU and Ohio State both have damn solid classes this year
