Compared to Boone, wright, ect. Would Carter start vs Oregon?
Posted on 11/22/10 at 9:41 pm to BigEdLSU
Yeah, he is more polished and better suited to be on the outside opposite Randle. Boone will be the 5th WR in 5 WR sets though, and probably Sheps backup. Wright will be the 3rd outside WR.

I enjoy reading the regular posters on the recruiting board more than the rant and figured most on here would know. I want to get a subscription to one of the recruiting sites. Would my money be better spent on Scout or Rivals. tia

Rivals is THE authority in Recruiting news

Rivals is prettier, though.

I just like Rivals better, and I respect their evaluation of players better. They also cover the All-American games so well, it really lets you know who the truly great recuits are. But I agree that TSD posts more stories

Any info on Armand Williams? The guy looked to be in great shape, and 6'3 41" vertical, sounds explosive, but redshirt-quiet has been an understatement.

For LSU recruiting and actual coverage/accuracy: Scout.
For accurate rankings and better national general stuff: Rivals.
Go Scout. You won't regret it.

just did a little reading up on bridgewater.
from the sounds of it, he fits the mold of our current qb JJ. Would that be a accurate assesment?
Mabye a bit faster and agile though.

Go with Scout for LSU focus...choose Rivals for better national coverage. TB will drive you crazy though.

Bridgewater's arm is 1000 times better than JJ's arm.

after briefly watching some film, he does look a little bit like JJ, with a little more agility. He has a slow release, but unlike Jefferson (who brings the ball down low like a baseball), Teddy brings the ball straight up. Looks a little like Phillip Rivers as far as throwing motion. He is pretty quick, and shows the ability to avoid the rush and move around in the pocket. He's gonna need to redshirt and get coached up. His athleticism would allow the offense to do a lot of things. Coming in behind Mett would be the best thing for his development I think, but he has all the tools to be the QB of the future.

I just like that he gives us that dual-threat guy, that D's have trouble with.

The thing I love the most about Bridgewater is he never loses his composure, even in the worst situations. He's done it a number of times where the ball's been snapped over his head, goes chase it down, fakes a defender out, runs up to the line, and completes about a 30 yard pass. Even when he gets rushed out the pocket, he still stays calm, looks to see if anyone has broken open, and then takes off if he has to.
He's a real smart player for a kid his age

i don't doubt it. But JJ does not have a bad of a arm as i once thought. And this opinion, i did not form over the last 3 games.
I just always thought the problem was between the ears. Looks like he is overcoming that as well.
