Yeah, and I'll go with what I saw on the field and who produced as a player more than another. And yes, this is an opinion board as you stated. And once again, let's just see if Suggs possible NFL career surpasses his LSU stint. I remember Danielle Hunter's has...I remember a DL named Davidson played years for the Steelers and barely played at LSU at all. Davis wasn't the DL coach so maybe there's that difference.

I'm guessing this has to be because of Guillory returning and McKinley climbing the depth chart.

I know Suggs was a pleasant surprise given he came from D2, but let’s be honest- he was never going to be a starter here. You have Guillory coming back and McKinley and Breaux who are both younger and have higher upside. He’s basically competing with Washington, a couple of incoming freshman, and possible someone from the portal (if the staff goes that direction) for playing time.

Also consider that Suggs likely didn’t get much money to come here from D2. All of the other guys in that lineup are likely making a LOT more than he was on his original deal. This may be a play for more money, if not here then from somewhere else.

I get that this isn’t ideal, but Suggs is exactly the kind of guy you expect to be at risk of losing in the portal- an older player who won’t be starting and wants a last shot to get more playing time and money. It shouldn’t be that big of a surprise, even if he ends up staying.

But Suggs didn't get the playing time he deserved IMO.

Like you said, IMO.
I’ll go with Coach Bo’s take on who should be playing and how much.

Suggs didn't get enough snaps.

So let me get this straight, he got an opportunity to play in the SEC because his head coach's son did him a solid

The things you people fantasize about is a lot more concerning than the modern state of football.

Yes. It is going to lead to a lesser quality product on the field IMO.

Yeah, Bo Davis doesn’t know shite, doesn’t develop players and can’t manage a rotation, right?

I’m going to trust Davis’ player evals and roster decisions more than anyone else on this staff. I don’t understand why any of you wouldn’t based on his long track record of success.

No player entering the portal should baffle anyone. This is a money grab.

These kids are literally entering a money machine. Every single player on every single team in America should enter the portal. Honestly, they are stupid not to do so. Deal with it. It is what many on here still defend.

The way players are treating the portal will be the cause of it not existing, or at least not in the same form and affecting the P2 to P4, within the decade. Enjoy today, I guess.

Yeah these decisions can backfire. If you have a worse season, then that affects the long-term money in the NFL. If you get drafted lower or even at all

That almost never happens with big men. He won’t be close to 100% to start the season.

This and he’s never more than a depth piece in his time at LSU.

Maybe Bo Davis should have watched who made a bunch of very important plays for the short time that he was playing....it was Suggs. But I understand...production doesn't matter. As far as some people saying every player move is for money...MOST are. But there are players like I suspect such as Suggs who has one year left and rarely playing isn't good for his potential NFL future.

If you want to change the phrase on US currency to "In Bo we Trust", that is fine. I don't trust anyone that much when I see the performances ON the field first hand.
