His highlights is impressive, kid can both pass and run. He's accurate, and has impressive wheels. I'm a Brennan fan because he has developed into a good passer, but I don't see how he can compete against this kid. Brennan's probably thinking "I shoulda transferred by now", and I totally understand.

Except that Brennan is no Burrow.
The coaching staff has seen the film on both guys. They are experts on evaluating talent. If they felt we needed another QB in the room that says as much about Brennan as it does about Daniels. So, no they didn’t promise Daniels he could start but they wouldn’t bring him here if they didn’t think he had the potential to start. Wouldn’t make sense to either party otherwise.

Got to love this forum. Always in love with the second string QB. I'm pretty sure I saw even some idiots calling for Brennan during Burrow's tenure here.

You are correct. They brought him here in hopes to start next year. If he somehow ended up with the job this year that's icing on the cake. Nuss will not be on the roster next season so they needed someone who could be a starter once Brennan is out. Who knows maybe Daniels will finally make that developmental jump in college he was projected to do. Daniels is your filler until Howard is ready. Nuss is odd man out and probably will transfer.

Don't worry at the first sign of Daniels struggling when he does get a start they'll be calling for Howard. They were calling for Nuss with Max but after seeing him it done moved to Daniels. Whoever is behind Howard they'll call for him. Never ending cycle.
