Jay Clark might have something to say about it...his arrival as an assistant to LSU is what took the gym program to a whole other level with the amount of quality recruits he was bringing in that the program lacked previously.
Since his arrival in 2013
1 Natty
3 Four on the Floor (playing for natty)
5 Super Six (prior to Four on the Floor, this was the final 6 to meet for Natty)
11 NCAA Tournament (all 11 years)
4 Conference Titles (1 other in program history)
6 Gymnasts to win Individual Nattys
Takes talent to do that...

By most measures I would say that Milam being a freshman AA and the production of Lawson and Brown point to a pretty good core of players. Lets not forget Jones, there is a pretty good reason he is going from Freshman to MLB draft in two playing years.
How many great high school players has Jay evaluated and developed at LSU?

Dale Brown was a better recruiter than Will Wade

Taking Lipsey’s checkbook and buying turnkey players out of the Portal is basically like being the NY Yankees.

They have to compete with the Dodgers, Sox, etc spending. LSU didn’t until the last two recruiting cycles. Now we’re sliding down the list for the top top portal guys

You’re quickly becoming the worst poster on this board
I just can’t figure out if you’re a purposeful troll or just unbelievably dumb

For stating facts?
Or do you like Jay hosting Regionals or making Super Regionals 33% of the time?

For stating facts and not being blinded from reality because of my love for LSU?
Wow. Society sure is getting softer by the minute. Sad state

So you’re saying 33% he wins national championships? I’ll take it

Yep. But that’s when Lipseys checks could buy Skenes and Tanks. They haven’t been able to do it the last couple cycles for the elite guys.

Mulkey & Wade came into terrible situations at football schools but somehow got top talent in the country to come here. Mulkey even won a championship & recruited the WNBA ROY. It’s Mulkey then everyone else.
