So being a Ranger or Seal implies some superior moral standing?

Since 2013's class, how many LSU WRs have been drafted into the NFL and produced? I love LSU, but using OBJ and Landry as our examples of why WRs would come to LSU now is pretty silly seeing as those two are gone AND the coach that was their WR coach has been gone for 3+ years.

Even Dural went undrafted. Dupre went as a late rounder and is bouncing around already in his first year.

Hope this kid goes to LSU, but stop with this stupid line on WRs.

That would imply he plans to steal someone from under their nose. Who would that be?

What sucks is, we keep passing on players hoping we land chase, Surtain and Goodrich. It would suck if we don't get these guys and miss out on joiner, watkins, and Williams

Unfortunately, that's just inherent risk in the recruiting process. We do it every year... and we seem to get bit every other year.

There's only 2 ways to mitigate it IMO:
1. preferably, have a very good relationship with that player, which includes some trust, and use his feedback with your gut. Guice "opening up" his recruitment late is a good example.

2. First come, first server. That'll cost you, you'll miss on some studs. Not a very good mitigation because many times the one you rule out to fill a spot will be the same one you lose late. With the new 25 rule, having that open spot is more valuable the next year for a count-back EE, so it's better to risk losing him rather than filling a spot (weighed against depth/need).
