ETA: This will be now be negative recruiting point #1 by almost every major program in America when talking about LSU

Dabo & Jimbo both brought it up today in interviews. Not that I give a shite what they think . That's just an fyi

Felt bad for those kids. Now LSU loses some targeted big recruits and are left with the bad optics. Almost karma like.

Still a great class!

Not to mention hurting your wall building initiative.

You have no idea why the staff cooled on some of these guys. There are a lot of reasons other than simply clearing space. We'll see how Burns and Lee do the next 3-4 years but I trust the staff's evaluation on these guys. They obviously did not think they were players they just couldn't live without. I'm down for supporting the players we have.

That’s my main thing. He has preached about putting up the wall around La, but as soon as the shiny new toys showed interest he ditched them. No way that doesn’t piss off a few high school coaches around the state.

It's time to learn that lesson. 4* Louisiana guys are better than 5* out of state guys anyway.

I agree. There's a higher probability of signing those guys as well.

If burns was good enough for UGA, he was good enough for us

agree. now we probably have 3 or more spaces left for kids who won't be as good as the ones we ran off.

ed0 is a sideways, democrat, cajun snake oil salesman. he always has been, he always will be.

at least he learned he can't actually coach worth a shite so he was smart enough to hire real football coaches.

when he talks about his start in coaching, he doesn't talk about great games or clutch plays. he talks about waking up early to hit the recruiting trail.

Every major program does it. Saban is an expert at it. We keep winning and we'll continue to have this problem. It's awful to tell a kid that you don't have room for him b/c you got a bigger fish on the line that can better help you team; but, when you break back into being an "elite" program, it seems to come with the territory.

Is it 'greedy" to go after the best? What if O just went after the "almost" best. Folks would be all over him for not aiming high enough. We filled a lot of needs with potentially great players, so rejoice!

"Processed" great Louisiana players right into the hands of SEC Competition based on listening to false comments from out of state players.

I hope this doesn't come back to bite LSU in the arse. I understand getting top talent but at the expense of Louisiana recruits? I hope those bridges with Louisiana high school coaches aren't to badly burned!

I have been a STRONG O supporter since day one.

But this bullshite of processing in state guys for pipe dream 5 stars is moronic. There is VERY LITTLE difference between a 4 and 5 star 17 year old.

It's a short and long term failure, period

He talked shite about putting a fence up, etc etc....since when do we tell 4 stars to gtfo of here?
