New offer just went out to this DB. This one is odd just like the John Rutledge one to me.

I think it's more so putting out an offer this late to a new DB. Haven't look at the tape kid could be a gem. His size tells me he'll play nickel and it is needed.

Doesn't look terrible. Speed & man coverage looks good. Tackles high on almost every play & doesn't seem to locate the ball very well or look back for it. Not Quite LSU caliber imo but could develop after a few years.

Not sure about his competition, but thought his tape was pretty good.

247 has him rated at ‘87’ which is decent. Definitely worth a look given our need at the position….

That is a very well-coached defensive back.

There isn't anything in that film proving he's an elite athlete, but he's doing everything right on that tape.

His read and reaction skills are high which bolds well for playing inside. He has great movement in short spaces, which is also what you’d want. He’s quick not necessarily fast but not slow, which is also good for that position. He may tackle high but he gets his man down and I also saw him go low a few times to make an immediate tackle. Looks like he could work on locating the over the top balls but that can be taught as well as tackling technique.

He’s worth a look for sure. With our immediate needs and future needs for development, this isn’t a bad offer. You want to be able to build a team as well as make a team. So I think they want star athletes but good instinctive athletes who aren’t the star yet but could play well with your stars when you get them here.

These guys will either provide depth for those guys or be able to play with them once ready. Jalen Mills wasn’t this super star athlete either but he held his own and ended up playing well in the NFL. Plus with the transfer portal these days you can do this when it’s needed and still be able to replace him if needed.

This is the first thing that stood out on his film. I don't see anything that really stands out about him. I trust CBK and staff see more than I do.

Congrats to him on the offer.

Seems like he wants to be in this class and vice versa.
