Commits to Michigan.

I know some on here think he will end up at lsu

Michigan has a winning culture ... it speaks for itself to go along with a world-class education. It was the best decision for me and my family," Washington told Rivals. "Given my connection to Coach Bellamy, him being from New Orleans and going to my school, I have a strong relationship with him and a strong connection with him."

"It was special to me and meant a lot to my family, not to mention he's great at developing players and putting them in the draft," he continued. "We developed a strong relationship based on trust and respect. He's a great coach, a great person and I look forward to being under his leadership and being developed by him."

Good for him. Not every single Louisiana kid can play at LSU.

Louisiana has a lot of talent that ends up in the NFL but LSU doesn't have the roster space for everyone. Good luck to Washington. It gets cold cold cold in Michigan.

FYI - Jacob Washington is a 6'3" 180 lbs. WR

Ronald Bellamy graduated from Shaw in 1999 and MICH in 2002. He played WR at Michigan . Good possibility Washington's parents new Bellamy growing up and likely attended HS together. Makes perfect sense for Washington who can play at Michigan and make a name for himself.

This is the dude I've been wanting us to actually go after at receiver. I hope we don't let him ultimately leave the state.

Michigan sounds like a great idea in June, not so great in December.

LSU not going after 2 Shaw kids worthy of a Michigan scholarship is weird

100% not lsu.

Great kid. Great family. He just wants to go somewhere else. It was either Michigan, Miami, or Mississippi state (with his brother)

Some of these kids want to get as far away from the hood. Not saying that's what he is doing but a lot want to leave their states for that reason.

Honestly it's sometime good for them. I remember a young man going to a college near home like 30 minutes away. He was still hanging with friends from the neighborhood on weekends. I'm not going say his name but he got into a few fights. The fights was started by old friends that wasn't even in college. He isn't playing football anymore but he doesn't hang with them also.
