Best part is Bo Pelini knows this guy's game and there is a reason he said ED we got to have Jabril. We Got him

There is a reason O left some spots open...this one of them.

Did we recruit this guy originally? Name is very familiar.

Kaboom. Looks like a well groomed athlete.

The question is: Does he cost us a recruiting spot to play 1 year when we could use that spot for a 4 year player? He counts against last years recruiting class, right? We don’t get that spot back next year. Seems like you would only want some stud who is going to guarantee to be a game changer to use a spot like that. Hopefully I and not understanding this correctly.
Okay, answer this. Which four year player can we sign to play this fall that is academically eligible and hasn't already signed with another school? Also, there are no guarantees anyone is a game changer. There is only potential and hope with every recruit, and who is to say Cox isn't that game changer.

Was in Perdido Key in February. As I walked out of a restaurant with an LSU shirt on, a guy stops me. He said congrats on the Natty then says congrats also because you guys will get a guy named Cox from his hometown. He was really high on this guy. Time will tell but the folks in his hometown love him !

I’m not questioning his ability. I’m just wondering if it was worth losing a potential full scholarship that can be applied to next years class? I personally don’t see a LB being a position that can change everything for us. I personally would rather spend that scholarship on a player next season. Supposed to be so deep in Louisiana next year and we are tearing it up recruiting nationally. I would rather have 28 kids next year.

The two most questionable positions on the team are offensive line and linebacker. Bringing in a linebacker who can be a star is a great move. LSU has the potential to be very good again this year. As Al Davis of the Raiders used to say "the future is now..."

I agree with your assessment. Online is the question mark on Offense and LBer is the question mark on Defense.
New offensive scheme will help this Oline just like it helped last year's LSU's Oline win the Moore Award.
Having a more attacking Dline will take some of the pressure off the Lber core.

For now
Could just as easily be QB and edge rusher

O has a Sterling record bringing in transfers. If O and Bo wants him that's all I need to know.

Are you football knowledgeble ? U don't think the guy that's considered the qb of the D can change things for us. They saved room for the guy on purpose,im sure. With the guys we lost, we needed someone bad. This dude has tons of experience, would be all young guys if not for him

1. We are thin at linebacker.
2. We are switching from 3-4 to 4-3. Cpx will be the only LB with 4-3 experience.
3. We have some highly rated freshmen linebackers who need experience. They will get that experience this year and be ready next season.
4. Cox is a Sr. His scholarship will be available next season to fill.
Its all winning and nothing to lose.
Trust Orgeron. He is batting 1,000 so far in filling our needs.

It's a nice thought to think football will be played by this year but it won't be. Not even if this dies down by the time the season is around. No sports will be played until you have a vaccine available to the public it's too risky.

Absolutely. He is a 3x all american difference maker. We lost every starting LB we had on the roster from last season. Not to mention Donte Starks is suspended and who knows what his status will be come the season, and he was supposed to provide depth at LB. This was a no brainer add.

Hey y'all, you got a stud in Cox! Frankly in several games he looked bored last year as he was clearly the most athletic guy on the field and we're better than 99% of the teams we play. Check out the link on our lb coach breaking down how versatile he is with a former DE and 5th round pick who works in broadcasting now.
