Talking about Wilson? If so then on 247 he is #79.I don't pay any attention to Rivals so I have no clue what he's ranked on there. Eta- he's 143 on Rivals.

Call me skeptical of early recruiting rankings per pay sites.

Wilson is a definite major BCS level OT

Not sure, but maybe the question is whether he is a tackle or guard. He's listed at 6'5", and oftentimes prospects are listed taller than they really are. If he isn't 6'5", then he may not be a tackle.

I'd also like to add Christine Michael and Storm Johnson as other examples. Just because a guy is highly rated doesn't mean the staff feels he should be part of the class. The year CM wanted to commit, LA had two players with similar skill-sets. They were Michael Ford and Eddie Lacy. We all know how that went down. Ford became part of the class and they waited until right before NSD to offer Lacy when his academic situation cleared but it was too late and he stuck with Bama. CM moved on but I believe the staff was chasing after a different back from TX. They wanted a very big guy in Dexter Pratt but it turned out he was a head case and would later get booted from OSU.

I am as well. Just stating that the best ranking site with many more players rated and ranked has him in the top 100. Some do think he is a Guard and he may be and maybe that's the reason. I still think he's better than every OL in the state with the possible exception of Boutte. Like I said earlier in this thread, if the coaches don't like him then I'm fine with that but I still question it. Trust me I read a lot of recruiting sites from all over the country and from different angles and most of those that know the Wilson/LSU angle were/are shocked LSU didn't offer him. It's not just the LSU fans that were/are suprised by it. That's recruiting. Things are rarely what they seem to be.

I'd take that trade if it were needed but it very likely wouldn't be needed if we offer both.

Yes, I know. But we should do it anyways because it's equitable.
