I think the "Look at Ingram" agrument is invalid because they are on two different sides of the ball. However, look at Sabans DBs in the NFL, ex. Dre Kirkpatrick (having trouble finding his way on the field at times), Dee Milliner (injured so inconclusive), Mark Barron (starter but not pro bowling), Javier Arenas (is he still in the league? Gotta admit, this dude can ball), Kareem Jackson (plays but is hated by Houston fans for sucking in big moments), Rashad Johnson (plays but nothing special other than he now is missing part of a finger). I think LSU's list of DBs in the league outweighs Bamas right now though. That is the argument to make my friends.

If we get half the recruits were looking at we will be title contenders. The next couple of years also look great for Lsu. Best db of 2015 has already committed and from oos to boot.

Hannigriff just doubled down. He basically guaranteed it other than the "The kid is 18 and could change his mind" qualifier.

He just said based on his visit and the bit of info he has he believes that he is going to Bama and he wasn't perfect or always right, but was passing on his information. Then proceeded to have a meltdown about people questioning him.

When Saban accepts the UT job in January, everything will tilt our way

Might be too late for early enrolled though.

You are too funny. That would be nice if it were true but it looks like he's gonna be a Bammer for life.

I wasn't joking about the Saban noise

I know, it happens every year... Terri's been in Austin, Blah blah...

I am skeptical as well... but this friend of mine who coaches ...ah never mind, let's just see what happens

It's all hearsay... but considering who this is coming from, it certainly makes me take the rumor way way more seriously than something I would read on rant...

Apex,

I'm not in a position to get any LSU inside info, but I do occasionally hear a crumb or two of UTex news from a couple of guys in the know. What I hear is they are certainly lining up the boosters to make an offer to NS. No idea if he's receptive, but there is a UT rainmaker who definitely wants it to happen. I haven't heard numbers and they don't think it will go to 10 million, but who knows. The guy involved could make it happen, but not sure if he will.

I am usually here just to lurk and insult gumps, but in this one case I believe there will be serious feelers put out to NS. Lots of smoke. Not sure it would be any better for LSU if he's at UT as he'll still try to cherry-pick Louisiana. And Austin is a BIG draw.

He should come here. The bama bust when they get to the league is real and he knows it

I hate Bama as much as any other Tiger fan, but I'll never just throw out bs just for that reason. There is way too much nonfactual info on this board and this is an example of that. If you stop and think about it, are our guys performing any better or worse once they get to the league? If you ask me both programs are pretty disappointing as far as that is concerned. Besides, just helping guys get into the league and ACTUALLY KEEP A JOB says more about your program than anything and I think both programs exceed in that area.

I am just sharing small bits of an email I got this morning while discussing something totally unrelated.

I don't claim to know anything or anyone...

it would be a huge plus for LSU if he leaves for Texas.

Because LSU puts players in the NFL EARLY

Because LSU is where he can play early AND THATS NOT A LIE

Because LSU is family and other places use you as a commodity.

OH and contrary to your sorry arse beliefs, LSU is a place where you can win a championship.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy told me that Alabama also puts people in the NFL early.

LSU is the only place he can play early?? You have a crystal ball to support this statement?

So LSU is the only school recruiting Hootie because they need another kid brother or nephew?? Everyone else just wants a great football player. HMMMM?????

Yeah, Bama doesn't win championships!!

Look idiot, I am as much as LSU fan as anyone on this board, but take off the P&G sunglasses. Whether we want to admit it or not, Bama is producing right now at a level rarely seen in college football. People aren't wondering why Saban didn't call a TO with 30 seconds as opposed to 6, but they are with Les. I don't mean to confuse you with facts, but give me a break.

Chizick would have a statue if he (and cam) had the same tenure at bama as he did at auburn. They give statues for NCs... That's all.

Honestly, I can't argue with any of that. No one on here will like reading it ,but it is the truth. I'm a Tiger fan thru and thru, but I don't want to listen to a bunch of lies just to make me feel good about our current situation. Facts are facts. That is what I come here for. and so far I haven't been able to find much of that

I am not trying to be negative, but sometimes, the truth hurts. I want Hootie, Tony Brown, Dupre, etc. to end up as Tigers, but right now, I think it is a tough sell. I, by no means, think our program is in shambles, but it is certainly headed down a slippery slope. I hope we right the ship and maybe we can this year, but I simply have my doubts right now.
