From what I'm heard, the hs and the University were involed in academic cheating. From the hs president down being involved

I agree with your view. The HS coaches in LA are at a crossroads with top-shelf recruits. If Bama offers, the HS coaches at some point have to acknowledge that 'if competing for championships or personal awards carry some weight with you then Bama is a better opportunity.'

And the player has to wonder 'if LF7 wasn't a difference-maker vs Bama (and he wasn't) what makes anyone think I would be one?'

You can get to the NFL through Tuscaloosa as well through BR. The fact that we wallow in 3-loss type seasons all the while populating NFL rosters is all the more evidence that something was wrong.

And I blame 150% of this on the Les Miles.

But what was this?

I agree. Thread is dumb. We win some and lose some. I hate to lose any, but just because we lose some, it doesn't mean the coach hates LSU. I will believe that Marcus loves LSU unless real evidence is provided to show otherwise. Geaux Tigahs!

frick our fans are stupid. How do you know Marcus didn't do everything he could to get Allen to LSU? Marcus didn't steer Allen to Bama. Bama is LBU. That's why Allen is going there.

This this this

Saban was actually a complete piece of shite to Marcus and threw him under the bus on multiple occasions over the years.

He had a tough time replacing Mauck after his injury in 02 but played his heart out and gave us all one of the most memorable plays in college football history with The Bluegrass Miracle. Saban's defense was a much bigger problem on that team but Saban would never let that be the narrative so he used Marcus as a scapegoat.

After a year of learning and maturing Marcus was never given a fair shot in 2004 and Saban continually fricked up by trying to force a not yet ready JR into the starting roll.

Without #12 we lose to Florida and we likely beat undefeated Auburn if Saban would have left him in the game instead of forcing JR in when Randall opened the game on fire. Neither QB ever really got in rhythm all year because of the way he mishandled that situation.

And then he scapegoated him again and didn't even let him start on Senior Night despite the fact that JR was 6/19 for 66 yards with a pick all night and Alley (250 yard record setting night) and Addai (also topped 100) just ate up their D all night.

The next week he got the road start against Arkansas to end the year and destroyed them.

Complete bullshite move by Saban and believe me Marcus remembers.

If Allen ends up at Bama it won't be because of anything he did, it will be because of that Crimson key....

DASH RIGHT 93 BERLIN!!!

Because saban flipped to, not only the same conference, but f#&@ing SEC West and has infringed on Louisiana recruiting ever since. it's a f@%&ing blood feud and I pray everyday for terrible things to happen

I've always thought LSU should do more to 'steer' the coaches into their camp.

Note I said 'more'; LSU does put good effort into it. The bar has been reset in that regards (and not by just Bama, but other schools as well). While LSU might have stayed flat, the competition has increased it's efforts. Of note of course is Bama/B. Burns, but includes TAMU, UCLA/Mora, Arky/Jen's Husband, and (maybe) MI/Khaki Pants.

The rules for such things are almost wide open. LSU has the money. Fricking do it. I'm not talking just straight pay outs. Weight rooms, mini-camps, awards banquets, reps (any rep- GA, admin, other sport student atheletes, former players) at HS games. It's almost a 'brand recognition' thing and it's all legal. And that's what disappoints me: in LSU's case it seems to be a lack of imagination/forethought and/or effort.

In short, LSU is doing, on average, what the vast majority of the other schools do. We're better than average, or should be, in our own state.

You need to be removed from posting here. Almost every response you make is knocking Lsu and sucking that bama dick. If it posts like an alter, well....

Another example of miles doing things the way he has always done them and not evolving. A lot of people don't know this but miles was really an arrogant a-hole to a lot of people, behind that goofy family type guy that he presented himself as.

If you're going to accuse the man then be specific. This is an anonymous board but if you're going to call out someone you look like a fool unless you can back it up.

The midget made him the starting QB over JR. Until the Miles/JJ love affair, Marcus Randall had the distinction of being the worst QB to start for LSU in the modern era. Of course that created some loyalty to little Nicky. And it wouldn't be out of the question that he's getting a little REC gravy slopped his way either.

I have heard countless stories to back up this claim, and one first hand experience. A former Lsu player, who has been in college coaching for many years, once as head coach at Nicholls, and as an assistant at several colleges, interviewed for special teams. Miles was extremely arrogant and barely said two words, like he was wasting his time. Obviously miles already knew who he was hiring, but why be an a-hole? He was arrogant behind the scenes. Who was that former tiger/NFL db that said miles basically shut him out when he tried to come around the program/practice? Webster?

Hey i was a miles supporter, but I'm also objective.
