Also, I firmly believe in Brian Kelly's evaluation of high school recruits not just as far as their talent is concerned, but also how they fill needs on the team and their character. It's going to look different here. More guys that are committed to the team and development, more old school OL types, etc. We'll always get a sprinkle of Louisiana and Texas athletes, but the rest of the roster will be different and the locker room will be different.
I think it's a perfect plan. We might not have annual top 3 classes, but we'll have annual top 5-7 classes and they'll be much better top to bottom and we'll have more program stability. Orgeron just went after 5 stars at positions we didn't need, left roster holes, and a toxic culture.
Give the guy a couple years, just watch.

Read the 1st 2 pages of the recruiting board. We lead for more than just 1 guy. Your defeatist mentality is lame.

Sure has changed since the days of the SHRIMP BOAT CAPTAIN. We were always being mentioned with big time recruits. Now all I ever see it seems is Ohio State, Georgia, Texas A & M, and USC

My observation has been that we are in everybody and their mother’s top whatever and we close on maybe 5% of them. Seems like it’s the cool move to have us in there but apparently LSU remains an after thought on decision day. Disturbing trend, it’s the hope that kills ya.

No. We will probably never get another recruit. Going to need to shutter the program in 4 years.

Kelly is going for the big time recruits and it will all play out in time. He's our home run hire and he wants home run players.
