Despite being a top 50 overall player at CB, it seems a lot of ppl believe toviano may be a better fit at safety. Looking at his tape he def isn’t a Denver Harris type athlete but he seems to have the athleticism to be a corner despite not being a burner. Do you guys think he will be a safety or corner at LSU?

Kelly and House aren't afraid to mix and match and train them to do both corner and safety
Look at all the mixing and matching they did this year with guys like Brooks, Converse, etc.

He's going to be one of the better free safeties we've ever had.

He has the hips to play corner but his top end speed is questionable. May end up at safety. Staff recruited him as a corner fwiw.

Toviano is a safety…and Yaites is a cornerback…in my humble opinion

They are both safeties. Yaites even more so than Toviano.

That’s not what the scouts are saying at the all American bowl

He’s had difficulty turning and staying with speedy receivers

Fake news. He was clocked at 21.5mph. That's NFL CB speed.

To me he looks like a long athletic corner Twhite, pp body type that we are used to seeing here that you put up against a traditional number 1 wr( not a slot burner guy)

I think Toviano will start off at LSU as a boundary corner.

If our depth doesn't change he's going to be a corner but the kid should be a safety

Let’s see how he looks after a season in a college S&C program.

They might start him at corner but I think he ends up at safety.
