Seems like everyone says he is just different. He reclassified because he was so good and he is still the TOP CB. That’s insane. Posted on the wrong board earlier.

Downvoted for whatever reason but that’s a fact. Stingley under a proper and consistent coaching staff, such as this current one, and minus the injury bug, could have went down as an all time great corner in college. He was drafted 3rd overall and didn’t play much after his freshman year for Christ sakes.

He's a 5 star for a reason if that's what you're asking, but overall, no. Stingley was built different. Dude got drafted 3rd overall basically entirely off his freshman year tape. After that people just stopped passing to him. Hopefully Ricks will be great (unless he goes to Florida in which case hopefully he's terrible), but Stingley was one of the like...10 players this century that came into college as an NFL starter.
