Derby Tigah is right. We have been hoping for Deangelo Benton for 3 years and we signed freaking Rocky Duplesis last year. Why not Sentimore? I say put the full court press on him and get him to Baton Rouge. Do whatever it takes.

If he can get into Alabama, he can get into LSU. The requirements are the same. What's the risk?

Were you at the game? He was even out of the game for several plays and even a few series...

He was injured the entire post season. He hardly played against Jesuit and was used sparingly against Ruston... Still amazed on how he turned it on against WM on a bad ankle

it wasn't just grades it was also character issues

What are these character issues? I've only heard grade issues.

Alabama can offer because they apparently have 30 or so scholies every year. That little trick gives them flexibility LSU doesn't possess.

If Miles does not go after Sentimore, he will regret it every time we play Bama, ask Don Shows.

maybe the coaching staff aren't as high on Sentimore as some on this board seem to be. a couple months ago i don't recall anyone on here thinking all that highly of Downs. Maybe the coaches know more than you do. Maybe they feel why take marginal talent in a crowded recruiting class?

If you saw him dominate WM in the finals, then you would see

He played well in that game. A couple were big plays that he wasn't really even blocked on. One of the Destrehan LB's, Porter, could have just as easily been named MVP of that game.

Maybe it's not just grades????

In fact, I know it's not. I'm not gonna spread info around the board (I got this from the premium board) I'm not being a premium info snob but it's info that I just don't think needs to be spread around until it's verified. He's a high school kid and we'll worry about it til later.

For now, just realize that it appears we are looking into Sentimore, re-evaluating his talent, grades, and personal issues and we'll see where things progress. But it's not just grades right now. Believe it or not, the coaches know what they're doing when it comes to giving out scholarships. Rest easy knowing that's one reason they get paid for it and we don't.

My wife's uncle just called me and asked if I knew anything about Sentimore. I told him that he was committed to Bama. He told me he talked to him about 30 min ago and Darrington said he is coming to LSU.

Sentimore is in BR practicing for the Sportsman's Paradise Bowl Saturday in Lafayette. My wife's uncle ran into him at the hotel he's staying in so take it for what it's worth but it sounds pretty good to me.
