I wonder why Heard is a 5 star and Campbell a 4 star if Campbell is better

See how easy it is to become an insider. I have zero sources and have said so in the past. All of my recruiting knowledge comes from this site. I even spelled his name wrong and everyone glossed over it.

I have no idea how anyone saw Campbell play HS and had him as a 4*. I know some had him as a 5* but he was easily the best tackle in the class. Top 2 or 3 without question. It’s the game they play, which is why I’ll never again pay for their little games they play. Any good or decent info comes out and anything else is strictly to get your money. Which I get it, some people love to read about this stuff and get their updates regularly. I’m not hating, do your thing but I’ve just out grown all the games I guess. I still love recruiting but I’ve always been pretty even keel about it. I never get too high or low. It is what it is. What I like to see is who we end up signing, following it from a distance and then following the players we did sign on the field closer.

I hope Bech comes back. He should have been our number 2 WR this year. This should have been his year with Boutte not playing his best all season. We could have taken huge advantage of that. Nabers did a great job but he was targeted and looked for quite a bit. Had Jayden done the same with Bech, we could have killed some teams. I think that was his frustration. I’m one of the best WRs on this team and you don’t even look for me when I’m most needed. That’s the reason I don’t really want Jayden starting next year. He kinda split the team up and that wasn’t necessary. His job is to bring these guys together and I didn’t see that. I saw all the WRs respond much better to Nuss. I hope they let Nuss start and then we can see what he does with real practices and a full game.

That sounds great and all, but we need significantly more depth or we’ll be in the same situation we were in this year. DL should be a huge focus in the portal and high school.

Fitz West cross-trained on the DL this season and Martinez started the UAB game at C and did a good job. We have another incoming C in this class. If Martinez stays, I could see West being moved to the DL full time. At 6-3 322, he can add some size to become a rotation guy in the middle.

Sometimes being a 5 star is about how a player projects at a certain position …( how good they can be with the good coaching ) … for example Speedy Noil played quarterback in high school…but you could tell he had the athletic ability to be a really good receiver

How is Smith’s recovery going?

Paris Shand showed up a day early for his official visit, which I'm going to take as a sign we'll get him.

Shand can play DT and DE. He would fix the depth/rotation problem for next year.

I agree we should find a freshman DT or NG.
