You do realize the Texas economy is 6x the size of Louisiana's. Hundred's of billions more to play with....

Then why do they currently not have facilities and coaching staff payrolls light years beyond LSU? Those things are the proxies for what boosters are willing to contribute to the football program. Texas may have more money, but there are more programs, more pro teams, and a more diverse economy overall that people are putting their resources into. Not every A&M grad is going to donate big wads of cash to buy players.

Thanks for your generosity donating millions of dollars to the LSU program

Generous people like you donating huge amounts of money to the LSU program is appreciated.

Well that is $17 million less that could have gone to NILs.

On Culotta's show yesterday there was this company that basically lets fans and businesses donate to the whole team with NIL. Not sure yet how it benefits the business, maybe they have a plan for that. Crowd Push I think.

Just accept it, we dropped the ball on recruiting this year. Make it up next year and via the portal.

If I knew how to divert my funding from TAF directly to an OLineman retainer fund, I’m all in. I hate giving money to LSU because I don’t know if it’s being spent 100% for the football team.

LSU should pool together several businesses in each kids hometown to get them bigger NIL paychecks.

In the NIL era Louisiana recruits should be smart enough to know that their NIL earning potential is far better in state than anywhere else.

Texas, aTm, and Bama don't care what state recruit comes from, Still going to pay up for recruits.

Yes! NIL has totally broken some people on here. It’s true that Texas’ economy is much larger than Louisiana’s, but the state also has 5? Power 5 schools in state. The state also has a much larger percentage of foreign born residents and residents born outside the South who don’t give two shits about college football. There are also a ton of LSU fans in state. It’s unfortunate that we are completely changing coaching staffs the first year of NIL. A natural drop in recruiting is being all attributed to NIL.

That’s the way it’s ALWAYS been. Only now they actually have to pay taxes on this money like the rest of us.

Lol. No it hasn’t. The volume of under the table money table before this year is nothing compared to what’s being thrown around for NIL today. If it wasn’t, it wouldn’t have stayed “under the table” and everyone would be on sanctions.

This is a disaster waiting to happen. I’ve said this before, but CFB is basically a pro league now except with no salary caps, no players union to spread the wealth and make sure everyone is taken care of and every player is a UFA at all times. This isn’t capitalism. It’s chaos.

If things stay the way they are, CFB is ruined in 3 years max. Bookmark it and call me on it if it doesn’t happen.

It was 26.5 million to buy out everybody. Orgeron is not the only coach who was fired.
