LSU will become a low tier SEC team. The younger generation (I'm 54) thought NIL would be a good thing for players. And they were correct. What they didn't realize was it would be a horrible thing for LSU. We will never be able to compete with Texas, California, Georgia, Florida or any other states with deep pockets and fortune 500 companies. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm sure I'm not.

We are deeply lucky that this is a talent rich state but we really are on the verge of trouble here. Being a deeply talented state may be our saving grace

Correct, we have serious talent down here. And unfortunately, loyalty means nothing to a 17 year old especially when another university is offering more than what LSU can offer.

Yup, unless Graves or Gayle Benson gets involved no way Louisiana teams will be able to compete in NIL.

I'm talking about long term. I guess I should've made myself a bit more clear. This I fear is the beginning of the end.

Brian Kelly will eventually be fired which means another buyout. Money going to fired coaches instead of players.

Hopefully he and Sloan will be going to Michigan with Underwood and that was part of the agreement to get him to flip

Lol...wishful thinking.

I'm truly sad right now.

Neither of whom have any meaningful connection to LSU. Plantiff attorneys who thrive in Louisiana because of ridiculous tort laws are our hope. Meanwhile the wealth creating businesses happily locate to TX and FL.

With all the transfers the last several years it’s hard for me to keep up with the roster like I used to. I hope they change the transfer rules and cap the nil. I miss the days of LSU rosters comprised of 70% LA natives. There’s fewer guys you watch develop over 3-4 years anymore either. It’s just not as enjoyable. Underwood going to MI doesn’t really bother me. He’s from there, and us holding onto a guy from so far away that highly ranked seemed unlikely.

The one that just lost its top prize and has others on the verge of flipping?

These “commitments” mean jack shite until ink is on paper…and even then it’s questionable
