This class has the potential to be the best class in LSU history if not the entire 247’s history.

* Use this as key *

* A number with an overall next to it, is the players overall ranking nationally.
* A number with a position next to it, is the players ranking nationally for their position.
* CB inside a parenthesis stands for crystal ball.
* Next to crystal ball percentage is amount of crystal balls, as well as confidence meter according to 247.
* After parenthesis is where a player is from.

LSU currently has committed:

- Khamauri Rodgers, #32 overall, #6 CB, (CB 100% LSU, 5/5, 10 LOCK, 27 offers, including LSU, Oregon, Georgia) Lexington, MS

- Bryce Anderson, #92 overall, #4 S, (CB 100% LSU, 6/6, 10 LOCK, 27 offers, including LSU, Alabama, Michigan) Beaumont, TX

- Decoldest Crawford, #267 overall, #39 WR, (CB 100% LSU, 5/5, 10 LOCK, 12 offers, including LSU, Penn St, USC) Shreveport, LA, HS: Green Oaks

With a chance to land out of state: + numerous more

- Tetairoa McMillian, #5 overall, #1 WR, (warm to LSU, Notre Dame, Stanford, Oregon, USC, 20 offers) Anaheim, CA

- Walter Nolen, #6 overall, #1 DT, (teammates with Tyler Booker, 11 offers, including LSU, Alabama, Clemson) Bradenton, FL

- Enai White, #8 overall, #1 WDE, (warm to LSU, Penn St, Tennessee, 39 offers) Philadelphia, PA

- Josh Hunter, #385 overall, #43 ATH, (2 offers, LSU, Oregon) Santa Ana, CA

Key notes for out of state recruits and LSU:

- Could land the #1 overall player in America, would be first time since 2014. (Leonard Fournette)
- Could land the top 2 players from the state of Mississippi.
- Could land 3 of the top 4 safeties in the country.
- Could land 3 top 100 overall players at RB.
- Could land both #1 DE’s in the nation, and #1 DT.
- Could land the best secondary class I’ve ever seen.

* HS stands for the High School the player plays for, added for LA kids.

With a chance to land in state: + a few more

- Shazz Preston, #38 overall, #7 WR, (CB 100% LSU, 1/1, 6 MED, warm to LSU, Miss. St, 14 offers) St. James, LA, HS: St. James

- Le’veon Moss, #51 overall, #6 RB, (CB 100% LSU, 1/1, 6 MED, 8 offers, including LSU, Alabama, Miami) Baton Rouge, LA, HS: Istrouma Senior

- Walker Howard, #62 overall, #3 PRO, (CB 100% LSU, 5/5, 8 HIGH, 21 offers, including LSU, Alabama, USC) Lafayette, LA, HS: St. Thomas More

- Trevonte’ Citizen, #94 overall, #10 RB, (no LSU offer yet, 6 offers, including Penn St. Tennessee) Lake Charles, LA, HS: Lake Charles College Prep

- Jacoby Matthews, #154 overall, #12 S, (former teammates with LSU QB T.J. Finley, 12 offers, including LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M) Ponchatoula, LA, HS: Ponchatoula

- Emery Jones, N/A, N/A OT (not ranked yet, but with 9 offers, including LSU, Alabama, Florida) Baton Rouge, LA, HS: Catholic

- Laterrance Welch, N/A, N/A CB (not ranked yet, no LSU offer yet, but with 19 offers including Alabama, Georgia, Texas) Lafayette, LA, HS: Acadiana

Key notes for in state recruits and LSU:

- Louisiana finally produces premier OT again
- Louisiana finally produces premier QB again.
- 2 top 100 overall players at RB.
- 5 top 100 players overall, all offense.
- Hill, West, Tapp, all on defensive line.

Assuming LSU keeps its current commits right now in the top 100 overall player rankings, lands all top 100 overall players from in state that would already be 8 top 100 overall players. I think we could be looking at LSU having between 10-15 top 100 overall players this class.

Pipe Dreams:

- Quin Ewers, #2 overall, #1 PRO
- Tyre West, #7 overall, #2 DT

I just used the initial 247 released rankings for the 2022 class so far, they don’t even have a composite yet for the class. Obviously this class is so far away, and there are so many things that could happen and interchangeable parts involved here, but in my opinion I think LSU will sign it’s best class ever in 2022, and possibly challenge for the highest ranked recruiting class of all time. It’s unreal the level we are about to start recruiting at, especially nationally. You mix that in with a good in state year like 2022 and we could see a ridiculous class. Everyone else feel free to add any info.

Decoldest Crawford

Honestly I don’t think he would be a take this year if he was in the 21 class. Hope his stock goes up, but I want to get the best out there every year. I think there are a lot of guys recently and in the future that wouldn’t be takes in this year’s WR class. If there are better options out there when it comes time I would hope that we take them over a guy with a “cool name”.

Thank you . That was a lot of work. I think 2021 will be very good, too. I don’t worry too much about Orgeron’s recruiting or LSU developing players. Even the lower ranked players turn out well once the LSU coaches gets them. That’s why I think people are underrating the 2020 team. I think it could very well compete for the NC this year. There are a lot of good players and some really good coaches.

Not looking at stars actually. But have you seen the talent in the 21 class. If you think Decoldest would be in the class you are mistaken. I’m not saying we don’t take him. I’m saying I hope we get the best available

Clearly evident in my previous post that I know he isn’t in the 21 class. But the 21 class shows the kind of the talent we are looking for and going to pull. So if there are better we should take the better players.
