COLLINS, guess who made the play of the year in college football that propelled us to an undefeated season. A SAFETY.

Isn't that a bit too close to NSD, maybe we can make a last minute impression that will force a change in heart.

Your crazy if you think a safety is going to make or break a team. Janzen Jackson was a 5-star corner and it didn't hurt us a bit losing him....and he's a kid who committed to LSU. Collins hasn't shown he wants to be at LSU.

I say Kiel. Good QB's can hide alot of other weaknesses....and at LSU defensive back play is the least of our weaknesses. Cooper turns 3-star recruits into All-Americans. I wonder how may people would be saying Kiel instead of Collins if it wasn't Bama that we were competing with for Collins?

Collins.

There are a lot of qbs that turn out to be flops. Collins is as much a freak as pp.

Collins. no question

If we don't have Collins it means he is at Bama, if we lose Kiel he is probably at Vandy or Notre Dame

I wouldn't go so far as to say Reid is better than Collins. There is no way you can make that statement yet.

I still can't believe so many would pass up an opportunity to get a super star qb just to land a safety.

Collins

In state "can't miss" prospect.

there is no such thing as a "cant miss" prospect. CL was more highly regarded than collins coming out of high school, and as a junior has yet to make an impact on a single game, and in general there is no such thing as a game changing safety or DB, only the freak outliers like TM, ed reed, etc. Having an elite QB in our program (one that actually pans out) would not only make our defense less important, as they are on the field far less often, but it also improves the ground game, making the offense impossible to stop. With an elite QB, the bama game would have been a blowout

get a top notch QB next year.

this is a hypothetical on which one to take now. elite qb's dont grow on trees, so you cant argue collins then say, "get an elite qb next year", as if it were simply a choice and every elite QB wants to play for LSU. The only real argument to take collins would be to maintain the wall around LA top prospects, but that wall will never really come down wherever collins goes

dude i think collins is more of a can't miss prospect than Kiel.

With that said though i would take the risk and want Kiel.

Game changing qb can't be compared look at cam newton or tebow

Its gotta be Collins. The impact of Kiel would mean he would have to offset Collins on d AND overcoming his beastly play va Bama for 3 years. No thanks
