what type of offense do you guys suspect we will run?

i think we run the same offense, Cam (if he is in fact the next OC)will just attack the Defense different than Stud did...

This is what I posted in another thread:

Cameron runs a conservative West coast offense that utilizes a heavy dose of power run to draw the defense in to set up deep strikes downfield. Think of Marty ball when LaDanian Tomlinson was still playing for the Chargers and the type of offense seen with the Ravens the past 4 years. It's a very conservative offensive philosophy in relation to other NFL offenses.

He will be a RB's dream OC.

He has used 2 QB's in plays before.

If we actually get this guy I will be ecstatic. This is the kind of guy who can tell Les that "this is my offense let me run it" and can get away with it. I guess this my be the end for Krags though since Cameron is best known for his development with QB's and Receivers.

Krags needs an exit strategy. Having Cam around should actually benefit Krag as it will allow him to choose his level of involvement.

Les Miles let Crowton run his offense until it fell apart in 2008. Crowton should've ran it conservatively instead of letting a freshman QB(Lee) sling the ball around as if he was a 3 year veteran. That's when Miles had to step in. They had to stay conservative because the QB play did not get any better. I'm sure a competent OC will have free reign on all play calls.

I like him as QB coach and recruiter. The guy has done a marvelous job at getting QB's interested in coming to LSU.

Krags would have to take an admin role as we are maxed out on coaches.

We may be losing a coach at the same time. One might possibly go to the NFL.

I just hope it is not Chavis leaving and not an Offensive Coach or maybe both. Just saying what I feel and hope does not happen. Chavis is best for the Defense and with Cameron coming onboard that will give 2 solid Cordinators and make it a balanced Game all around. LSU has needed a OOC since 2008 and now if he comes in LSU will have that.

Cameron runs a solid Pro-Offensive Scheme that will utilize the RBs since, LSU has always gotten RBs, more than their share, this will help the Offense and also he will use the QBs the best way that will make LSU not be so predictable at Play calling and also he will use the best QB that is best suited for what the Game dictates and what will give LSU the overall best chance at winning no matter who LSU has to play.

I don't see Chavis leaving. His contract has reached a head coach pay level and I think he enjoys just coaching defense and not dealing with HC nuances.

Agreed. I loved Crowton with Flynn (at times he called some crazy stupid shite though). I believe Les is still scarred from 2008 to this day

I'm not holding my breath on Cameron but if it's true, it's borderline best possible hire all things considered.

We need to make room for an OC. I know, let's let Chavis walk to make room...Come on, dude.

It will 100% be an offensive coach that leaves if we are indeed bringing in Cameron.

Holy Crap, how did Chavis get brought into this? This is simple, Stud goes back to O-Line, Krags to QB's and Cameron OC. If not this, Krags to an Admin or Disability. Les ain't going to dump Krags with his medical condition.
