How much does that hurt recruiting? He will have good ties in the state of Louisiana and in LSU,a Texas recruiting ground.

It doesn’t hurt as much as Saban or Jimbo.
If Napier takes the UF job and his priority in recruiting is Louisiana and Texas then he’s a moron.
Florida and Georgia are overflowing with talent. And Florida at ifs peak always goes after the eastern seaboard. I’m not saying don’t try and reach over and try snag a player every now and then. I’m saying it’d be like the new LSU coach making Orlando his primary target.
You can’t worry about the ifs and buts when hiring. You hire the best guy possible and let the chips fall where they may

Honestly I think it helps because he may win some of those battles in Florida that they’ve been losing. Taking away from Georgia and Bama.
Kane to Kiffin would be the same but for against Florida, Bama, and Georgia.

I wouldn't him expect to get the players that LSU really wants.

not much, if really at all...

he may, but LSU is still the flagship... he may occasionally pull a player that LSU is going hard after, but he won't create another Saban or Jimbo like situation...
now, he may make it a little more difficult to pull guys out of Florida and Georgia, for LSU, but with as fertile as LA and TX are, that's not really that much of a concern

With every other florida school struggling, he has a great opportunity to be the #1 class in florida.
ETA: To be clear, for florida kids.

I would not bet on that. I know one for sure that is extremely interested in the situation. The LSU hire is important.

Just pray that he doesn't go to TCU. Trust me in this, I won't say more

That’s right he won’t scoop up high 4* & 5*s, he’s been hitting on diamonds in the rough 3*s, he’ll now have to get Florida’s top players rather than worrying about La top players. Saban Jimbo & Sark are the new Coaches biggest threats always
