Its why we play the games. Otherwise we should just set the ncg with the two best recruiting class's. Which is determined by so called experts.

It's all chemistry boys. We are building a TEAM, not looking for a one man show. TD and every radio show at one time beat the crap out of Matt Mauck, Matt Flynn and JJ...in two weeks they will all have something in common other than that...a NC...The 5 star, the 4 star, the 3 star...none of that means crap if you do not put the pieces in the right place..As for Kiel...you grow up in Indiana and you do not go to Notre Dame?? If this kid has a great family life and wants them all to come see him play frequently he will stay home...imo...he'll be wearing the shamrock...

I understand rankings don't matter but why not also get the big time recruits some times instead of these under the radar guys we can develop them the same way it's not like Miles doesn't offer the big time recruits because he does he's just not reeling them in for some reason..

If the recruiting services honestly scouted La. the way they do other states, we'd sign more "big names". Other than Sonny Shipp and Shea Dixon, no one at a national service is willing to do the leg work to rationally rate these guys (and when SS and SD recommend 4 and 5 stars, they don't have much pull because no one else has seen them).

Who really cares of stargazers are happy? Miles is paid well and he is accountable for the program. He has done pretty darn well so far. I would like to see a top QB sign with LSU this season. However, we signed a top flight QB with Matt Flynn and how many NCG did he lead the team to? Give me a QB; that is smart and can manage the game, such as Flynn; Mauck; Risher; & Tyler; with the talent like we now have, and I’m very happy and believe LSU will win more titles.

Why would you even make this comment?

Let me counter. I this kid wants to play for a team where his family can watch him WIN, under the tutelage of an elite QB coach, with a head coach who really cares about his players, practice and play against NFL caliber talent, in a team that has a great family atmosphere, in a city with great food, gorgeous women, and soon to be the only school with 3 BCS NAtional Championships.......he would come to LSU.

......or his family could go watch him lose 3-6 games per season and end up at the Frank's Potted Meat Bowl,

It would be nice for sure, only other big fish I can think of is Mario Edwards...but if we land Kiel and then Collins thats all I really need to be honest.

If we pull Kiel, Collins and Edwards, even if we don't sign the final spot or two, we have an argument for the #1 class for 2012, and we're 1, 2 or 3 regardless.
