I got news for you. we have had drama about EVERY LSU HC in my lifetime. sure, following a very good year things were quite but the silence didn't last long.

other news, If we have a very good year this year, fans will be quite also. even you.

I don't put much stock into where Gunnell is leaning this far out. The difference is gonna be what LSU's offense looks like this season. If it looks like a clunky piece of shite with no semblance of QB play again, Gunnell likely won't come here.

If Ensminger's offense is competent and shows the ability to groom a QB, the Tigers chances improve. All a wait and see game now.

Normally I'd agree with you but quarter backs make their decision early, especially big time ones. We gotta show him in the spring game

Since spring games are pretty controlled we need to make sure our QBs have big days and we'll be in a good spot for Gunnell. He's gonna be locked up somewhere by the summer

Um, if it means us getting a QB alike Gunnell that we HAVE TO HAVE in this class, yeah, they'll do what it takes to make sure our QBs shine in the spring game. It'll be the only chance we have to show the offense to Grant before he commits, most likely.

No, not at all. As Gunnell plans to commit in the summer before the season starts.

If history means anything, they'll probably do like they did last year, run about 35 percent of the offense.

I just don't see LSU getting him, nor do I see this offense enticing him to commit here.

LSU needs at least one QB this year and needs to go all in for DJ next year.

or the reason so many good qbs shun lsu is because lsu sucks at developing qbs and preparing them for the draft..they also probaly hate the lack of a passing attack...lsu does a poor job of wowing qb recruits and all they can deliver are empty promises

That was definitely true during the Les Miles era, but after this season that won't be true anymore.

When Les Miles was here, good QBs avoided LSU like the plague and I can't say that I blame them. As a good QB would have been stupid to come to LSU. Thankfully, those days are finally over.

The fact that his parents are Arkansas grads makes me think he will not be at LSU.

You people just don't understand how much the hate for LSU is up there.

You are absolutely correct. I live amongst these inbreds and the hatred is unbelievable. Most of the Arkansas fans would rather see us lose than their own team win.

Ryan Perriloux was the #2 QB in the nation you dingus.

You continue to display your lack of knowledge of all things LSU football related.

If we do happen to miss on him we have 3 QBs on the roster. A redshirt freshman, a sophomore, and a junior. We can wait on a QB till next year. How many you guys would like to have? 10? Next couple years will come down to brennen and Narcisse and I like both of them. I believe we ok.

You need to take one every class or your putting your entire team at risk down the road.

The position is critical for success and you need options and competition for long term sustained success.

If we have the type of season we’ll need to land him I think The snowball effect will happen either way.

Ensminger played the position at LSU and I think he has a good grasp of what to look for in a Qb. I don't think LSU will be looking to "develop" a lot of Qb talent. I think you'll see lsu recruit players that can do the things they expect a Qb to be able to do. You really don't "develop" accuracy, timing, and a quick release. You get better at it, but you either have it or you don't. What you do develop is an understanding of the offense and a sense of game management. LSU will look for better arm talent and more field awareness IMO than was was recruited in past years. At least I hope so!

Yeah, even though he was raised right down the road from LSU he came within a hair away from going to Texas instead and now probably wishes he had.

Then once he came to LSU, how did that work out for him, you dumb genius? It didn't because Miles kicked him off the damn team and made him transfer, and so of course, he didn't have a pro career for LSU to brag about.

Man...I'm wondering, did your mother drop you on your head or something when you were a baby? Damn...something happened!

I agree, our new RPO spread offense needs to shine, but nonetheless, Gunnell plans to commit before the season starts. However, he will be here for the Spring Game and our offense will also need to shine during the season for the snowball effect to happen. I think it will.

We probably don't get to the NC if not for his SECCG performance. That's how it worked out.

His mistakes were his own fault. I bet he'd even tell you that.

Yeah... perriloux was a talent. Found him passed out on the floor at the strip club in Lobdell his freshman year. Can't change a person's character. Next to fournette, Cecil Collins would have been the best RB to suit up at LSU in my opinion if it weren't for his troubles. He and Faulk were an old school Fournette and guice
