Juco’s are not sustainable.

Such a complacent fan base. Getting excited about jucos and transfers on a huge position of need is a joke.

O deserves the scrutiny for putting all the eggs for Leigh.

We should be getting at least 4 4* o lineman every single class.

It all starts in the trenches.

Obviously want Ingram to return

But LSU has 10 freshmen or sophomore OL on scholarship. TEN!!

OL is a position you can’t judge after 2 years. Especially one with such a weird offseason.

But Cregg doesn't seem to be a great developer at this point would you agree?

That's very true. I am excited about Dumervil and Hill
Hines and Rosenthal are nice come backs as well.

I'm more talking about the overall recruiting aspect and philosophy.

If you look at the consistent teams in the playoff era. Clemson, Bama, osu, they have 2 things in common the recruit well QB and Oline. And consistently they have been doing those things.

Dropping off one of those in a year will have a pretty damaging effect.

Like I said I'm not as mad about losing Leigh as I am we threw everything g at solely him. When we could've put equal time with say 2 other 4*s.

He put Damien Lewis and Lloyd Cushenberry in the NFL as day 1 starters...

We'll have to disagree because Joe made that line look a lot better than it was.

The difference between him and Miles is he’s gotten lucky AF with Louisiana (or Louisiana connections) producing quality QB prospects

Miles never had that occur often during his time, but O is getting TJ, Nuss, Howard, Arch/Holstein falling in his lap which looks to be a giant luxury that should set him up a lot better than what Miles ever had it

Shut the FUK up. You whining bitches have no sense. LSU lost FORTY ONE PERCENT of the National Championship Roster and had NINE new starters on Defense with no Spring and limited Fall Practice to install a new Defensive scheme. What part of reality escapes you morons?

TJ was a 3*. The state produces those kinds of guys pretty regularly. Also Nuss was signed and sealed when O hired Linehan as much as y’all love to hate him.

Coming off the best season ever and you are a recruiting guru.

It's also his fifth class if we count 2017. By that time a coach is totally in his groove.

When people talk about why Les failed they focus on his old fashioned offense and stubbornness towards change, but a bigger reason was the unevenness of his recruiting classes. He would get a top five class, but with no QB and with one defensive lineman. Every year we were dealing with a weak position group that could be traced back to just such a recruiting shortage.

Orgeron is falling into the same trap, and I thought he had fixed it. His first class, 2017, we were failing at DL. Instead of signing a short class, like Miles would have, he went out and got two lightly recruited Alabama kids, Farrell and Thomas. Those guys never became stars, but they gave us depth last year, and Farrell is a starter this year. This is what he needs to do every year at every position group.

So how on your plan on replacing those guys without high school recruits?

this class looks like it'll equally balanced once the dust settles. Around the top 5 ranking...that's back to back years for O. Question is, can he keep players from leaving early, develop them and hire the right staff
