I don't like the idea of Saban on one side and Jimbo on the other

What about the “land mass” in between?

Meh...

If O can't do what he was hired to do, which is lock down the state and build top notch recruiting classes, then it's just going to speed up his dismissal. That's on O.

Herman is looking like a better recruiter than Jimbo. O just needs to build a fence and get a few national recruits.

Jimbo has to deal with Texas, TCU, OU, Nebraska (when they get Frost), and LSU for recruits now. He won't be top dog in Florida anymore.

Maybe it's just me, but, other than money, why would Jimbo leave Fla. St. and go to Texas A and M in the first place? Yea, I know Texas is big and there are a lot of top ranked recruits every year, but, would recruiting at A and M be any better than Fla. St.? I just see Fla. St. as a much better place to coach than A and M. But, if he did take the A and M job, I don't see it making much difference for LSU recruiting. Not instate. Maybe out of Texas, but if a Texas kid wants to play for Jimbo I believe they'd go where ever he coaches. Don't see LSU losing kids to him at A and M that they wouldn't lose if he was still at Fla. St.

He'll still get very good recruiting classes and can sell his offense no matter where he is.
Add Brewster and Herman's honeymoon is over at one year when it comes to recruiting.
I'm no big fan of Jimbo but 2 things he does well is recruit and develop qbs

Jumbo isn't that caliber of a coach. He's good, but not someone to be feared.

I think the scariest part of Jimbo joining the SEC west are the implications it has on recruiting, as well as Mullen at Florida where he can actually convince top prospects to play for him vs at Mississippi State

I think Jimbo is a good coach but it will be difficult to have success in the SEC
Plus with Saban still here, I don't see much differences in the future

We’re already competing heavily with Jimbo. Remember Cam Akers and Marvin Wilson? I’ll be happy to see him out of Florida and out of a top tier job. We could pretty much have the panhandle all to ourselves if Mullen doesn’t turn into an absolute recruiting dynamo overnight.

He’s won the same amount of titles as Les Miles

FSU and A&M aren’t even in the same universe as far as program prestige. He’s leaving because he’s been at odds with the administration over not building a football facility. A&M will pay him more and have spent tons of money on facilities and upgrades to the stadium. I think jimbo will do a good job there, but he’s coming into a shark tank in the SEC west and is now fighting for recruits with so many more schools than he was before.

my sentiments. I don't fear him as a coach, we just don't need another person residing in texas that can close as well as he does.

Grow some balls and quit worrying. We will do fine on recruiting, and Inpredict Jimbo will flop in College Statuon. He is a low character guy, and time will prove this. O is just getting his recruiting mojo going.

I think so too. The coaching staff will need to step up their efforts on the recruiting trail. Fisher at A&M means a new ballgame.

Sumlin was no slouch on the recruiting trail.

That being said, Herman and Jimbo combined will be very hard to compete with in Texas going forward.

Jimbo is a great coach and great recruiter. He'll have A&M humming soon enough.
