I agree with this in a big way. He gets asked a lot about the Clemson bowl game where his D gave up 70 points and I'll bet that pisses him off, considering that D was actually pretty good all year and a single game like that was obviously anomolus. I think he's gonna come on strong this year. The balls-to-the-wall recruiting he's doing is setting him up for success.

If people are going to judge Steele on the worst game of his career, I'd like to know which of Chavis' losses would be considered his worst. Would it be last year's game against Auburn when we were down 31-7 at HALFTIME? Would it be one of the (end of game) meltdowns against Bama? We hold #1 Bama in that 2012 game and #5 LSU moves into BCS Championship contention.

Steele is unquestionably an upgrade on the recruiting front. He probably has more talent on this roster than he's ever had in his career. He has some of the best assistant coaches in the country. He certainly has a huge opportunity and I hope he makes the most of it.

Chavis only coached for 3 1/2 quarters. He was just awful at the end of every big game. T a\m will realize that you have to have talent AND high football IQ.
Besides Chavis complained bout defense on field too long wait until his new def is on twice as long this year cuz of too man 3 and outs.
P&G 4 life.

While I agree, am reserving judgment. For a couple of years. I can't get the Clemson game out of my head

Like the last guy was such a great tactician. The famous Chavis last minute collapses wont be missed.

In that Clemson loss lets not forget that the Clemson OFFENSE turned the ball over 4 times which led to 28 points. One Clemson fumble at the one yard line was returned 99 yards for a TD. Thats a 14 point swing in 1 play and Steele or the Defense had anything to do with it.
