There are probably 4-5 we go after pretty damn hard and end up with 2-3. That's my realistic take.

Realistically, maybe 1-2. We aren’t going to need the same portal numbers we’ve needed the past two years.

Gilbert and maybe 1 other but I doubt will we be paying what is necessary to get one of those D-lineman.

There are two key problems:
1. These guys expect to get PAID
2. Counting our commits, we're sitting at 90 scholarship players give or take. Need to see the NFL declarers and our own portal hoppers to get to where 85 is realistic.

Firstly, look at the ones LSU actively recruited and missed on. And then look at any kids from Louisiana. Those will be our targets at positions of need. Jardin Gilbert will be heavily pursued. Jacoby Mathews will be pursued IF he enters the Portal. Chase Bisontis will likely be revisited and entertained as LSU will probably take two offensive lineman from the portal (if we can’t retain what we’d like/ you're at least getting one). LT Overton, Walter Nolen, and Fadil Diggs will probably be looked at from positions of need but don’t expect much smoke there.

At this point, even if he wanted to stay at aTm, he has to be re-thinking it. It's no longer about money. He could make more next season and cost himself millions upon millions for the next 5 years.

This guy since he was recruited, left us at the altar(so to speak), clowned on a video while at atm recruiting thing, said they were giving mad money away, he has baffled me at every aspect of his recruitment and short career. I wanted him in that class and he fooled me right up to the last minute. He still does I thought he’d be the first La kid to bolt and come back. But Nooooo he keeps toying with my feelings and living in my head. Come on Man come be a Tiger. Did he sign some kinda of mafia NIL deal that he can’t get out of or does he REALLY not want to be here. He’s like the Novel War & Peace for me Hard as hell to read.
