Need to sign 1 safety and 1 corner or 2 corners.

Bonus, now need 2 DT's.

I really believe Toviano and Stamps are two guys that can be great that allows us to get elite guys behind them time to prepare.

Don’t let anyone fool you. We have dudes on the outside just need to be coached up.

I agree. I like Toviano more than Stamps at this point but both seem to stay with their receivers. Stamps need to look back for the ball. But I remember Alexander having the same issue the first several games and suddenly he turned into a pretty good corner increasing his "ball awareness." Then, he got hurt at the end of the 1st half vs Army.
If I had to pick between a better pass rush and better coverage, I would take a better pass rush. Finishing 11th in the SEC in sacks didn't help the secondary any.

Honestly, we are going to have some type of development for our secondary unit because I don't see any of our current incoming '24 High school recruits starting next season (I am hoping/expecting Gilbert to take Burns place). Talent is there right now, but as you said, definitely needs to be coached up because not reaching potential currently.

BUTTTT, if this year taught me anything, it's that you better have more depth in your secondary than you expect to use. For most games, we only had 4 available scholarship cornerbacks (S. Ryan, J. Toviano, L. Welch, & J. Hughes) and 4 safeties (M. Burns, A. Sam, R. Yaites, & J. Allen) after it was decided that Kylin Jackson redshirted. We were 1 injury away from a complete shitshow if you didn't already consider our defensive performance such. With our current roster numbers, we should have 10 cbs/nickle & 9 safeties (depends on where Ausberry is listed)

2 boundary corners at least. Gilbert and Toviano at safeties and Sage can be a swiss army knife where needed.
