Now that is a joke. These recruits don’t go to schools because of their current win loss record. They go to schools with history, great fans, great coaches and to prepare the next level or learn how to become successful without football. LSU has all of it and more.
But this crap about running QBs is suck BS. Plus Nuss has plenty of athletic ability to take off and bust 25 yards on occasions. They simply need to tell him that we need this from you and make him do it. Call his arse out. That’s when he throws interceptions because he rather try to throw to ball into a 2” window. We’d very likely be undeafeated today if he would take off and run when things open up and keep the damn ball on occasion when running the RPO. That’s how much it can change this offense. Not only that but we need to be much more creative on offense, especially in the RZ. I don’t see us use the middle of the field much, we don’t use easy slants, we don’t use the QB sneak while spread out, we don’t use screens, we don’t use the draw play much and these are all things that can slow a defense down and also give your guys tons of confidence. We need better play calling and we also need to use every damn weapon we have. Put our two long athletic TEs on the same field with two quick WRs and a good all around back and run 10 different plays with different looks and we would score much much more in the RZ. Run a post with one TE, run a fade with another, send your fastest WR crossing the field and have your running back sneaking out the backfield. Run that shite over and over and over in practice until your unstoppable and confident. Fixed!!

This staff had a heisman winner last year. Your post comes from emotion that you can’t control. Recruits aren’t as knee jerk as you.

Yes, let’s get fatter olineman because nothing says 2024 football like big ole fat guys with no endurance and can’t move.

Our fanbase is a bunch of front running pussies
Some of these ‘fans’ have seemingly been on top for so long, they don’t handle any type of negativity well. Any time one of the teams doesn’t win a title, this whole board instantly wants to fire everyone and shut the program down.
When have we ever been frontrunners? Yeah we've won 3 titles but with context you realize how fortunate, lucky, we've been. 2003 is still debated whether we actually were the best team. 2007 took the most "luck" any champion has ever had. We were clearly the best team when at our best but also bad enough to lose to Kentucky and Arkansas. 2011 was our best team sans 2019 and we didn't win. In fact many still point to 1/9/12 as the end of our golden age. 2019 was as big a fluke as there has been. We didn't build to that title, we struck gold with an offensive mind who was just a little ahead of everyone else, a qb that had a fire lit under him by an unknown DL from UCF that only the last 2 years has started to fizzle out, a RB that came off killing a man, justifiably, to have perhaps the best single season performance we've had at RB, and a group of 4 1st round wrs. The defense was just good enough not to frick it up, though I dont think they could've and Orgeron motivated and got the hell out of the way. Almost as if God chose LSU that year.
In the years we didn't win titles, most have been exactly what we are looking at currently. A team good enough to win any game, but bad enough to lose any game. On average about a 9(10)-3 team. Some frontrunners we are.
The biggest "pussies" I see around the net loss tigerdroppings is, are the folks that haven't come to the realization that we are what we are and have never been, and likely will never be, what they expect us to be. Something we folks around the recruiting board call "unrealized potential". LSU football in a capsule.
Doesn't mean your post isn't true. We are fans. Fans whine and cry as though the world begins and ends with every win and loss. LSU fans are as bad as they get in that regard but far from lonely.
10 mil a year for 10-3, at best, and no playoffs. End of debate. The whining is justified in this case. The Nuss Bus is even begging for passengers at this point. We should've gotten the hint when he quit on the team as a freshman.

Your post shows why.
I struggle to comprehend the logic behind certain justifications made by supporters of the current coaching staff, particularly when it comes to the program's recent struggles. If I were a recruit, these are the critical questions I would have, and it's difficult to understand how one could justify choosing LSU under the current circumstances.
It's now year three of the coaching tenure, and the team has already suffered three losses. In the broader context, where are the failures, and why has there been no significant improvement? The same mistakes seem to be repeated, leading to consistent losses. As a coach, you asked to be judged by year three, yet it appears you are underperforming compared to your predecessor, even when working with players who have had three years to develop in your system.
The coaching staff frequently touts having the best offensive unit in the country. However, if that were true, how do we explain Vanderbilt’s 40-point performance against Alabama? Why do we struggle so much against inferior defenses, particularly when we supposedly have the best offensive staff in college football? What alternatives are being considered, instead of merely repeating the same approach? Why weren’t there any significant adjustments to the offensive game plan, or attempts to change personnel—such as giving a new quarterback a chance mid-game—especially when it was clear that Garrett Nussmeier was not able to execute? If all possible measures were taken and the team still failed to execute, what does that reveal about the coaching staff’s mindset and adaptability?
It appears that the development of many players has plateaued, with several reaching their peak potential under the current staff. Given LSU's historical advantage in terms of local talent, how can the coaching staff justify their position when they are unable to elevate the talent at their disposal to a level capable of competing for a spot in a 12-team playoff?
While we had JD and JB, the current team's performance and turnover issues highlight a clear talent disparity. How can the coaching staff guarantee me playing time if they are unwilling to adjust their offensive philosophy during games? Why aren’t alternative options being explored, such as giving other players a shot, when the current strategy is clearly not yielding the desired results?
There seems to be a troubling pattern in the team’s readiness at the start of the season. Despite having more time to prepare for games, the team consistently underperforms. Why does it seem like the more time the coaching staff has to prepare, the worse the team plays? For instance, after three consecutive losses to start the season, the team had two weeks to prepare during a bye week, yet they still suffered a humiliating defeat at home. What does this say about the team’s preparation and the coaching staff’s ability to get players ready for crucial games, especially when the coach talks nothing but team preparation?
If it were me after seeing that performance, I would definitely be considering more options.

I get the anger from fans. But as someone who has coached for many years, there are certain things that take time to establish. At the end of the day, we have a first year starting QB and our best RB is a freshman. A lot of our defense is young as well, with a new DC and staff teaching them. Plus they are out there and see these guys every single day in practice when we see them once a week for 60 minutes. If other players were truly outperforming these guys weekly, they’d probably be getting more looks.
I’m not excusing the poor play, just saying try not approaching it from the pov of a fan for a minute. Ultimately, we may just not be a very talented team. We lost to a bad USC team, struggled against UCLA most of the game, honestly should have lost to South Carolina and Ole Miss, then got exposed by A&M and Bama. The one game we looked good in was Arkansas, but they are a mediocre team who lost to OK St, and struggled against UAB and Auburn. They pulled out a big win against UT but that was it.

To me Nuss is the reincarnation of Etling. Okay, but def not good enough to be at or near elite, and always a bit shy (or maybe very shy) in the big games...

Not sure why people keep spouting this … Etling was fearless and never shied from running when the opportunity was there. He was limited in arm talent, but I respect what he did while at LSU.

Bama's fat guys mauled the LSU d line. Then again, Bama is better at recruiting and developing than LSU.

I didn't say they were extremely similar in running ability or arm strength. What I said is neither could take us where we wanted to go. Both were meh in big games.

Agree. Lack of moderators and a ‘say anything you want attitude’ ruins the vibe around the program and reveals all the warts the fan base has. It’s like a toxic stew of negativity anytime we lose a game around here.
TD’s reminds me of Twitter, lots of misinformation, speculation, bullying and bullshite artists who are allowed to say and post anything they want, with no consequences, no proof, and no truth.

What a difference it is having a statue at QB . JD would he having Heisman year . So many running lanes. JD hid alot of our weaknesses in DL.
Thing is, he's not a statue. He just chooses not to run and take 5 yard clips that would demoralize defenses. He's a bad quarterback at this point.

I go back to then getting to the goal line on their 2nd “TD” drive, before the refs called it a TD, reviewed it, ect, Milroe ran it to the goal line on a scramble. Their LT literally grabs and beat hugs our DLman from behind and no holding call called, it was clear as day. Not a questionable or quick hold, it was the most blatant and obvious hold you can imagine
It was that moment I knew something was up

Those recruits walk through the state of the art facilities, see the championship trophies, the Heismans, the wall of former Tigers tearing up the NFL and see the NIL potential, they aren't going to be disuaded by one bad loss.
