Hootie called the coaches or was it some friend or family members?

I've seen it reported multiple places that Hootie did not contact LSU, but someone in his "camp" did.

What do you make of the Patrick Peterson tweet? I took it as a sign that LSU was hard after Hootie, but who knows.

He's a former player and big LSU supported, however since he is busy playing for the Cardinals I wouldn't take it as a sign of anything other than PP supporting LSU.

Let's at least trust the integrity of Les Miles because he has seldom given us reason to do otherwise. Not saying he's perfect;cause we all know he is not. But I'll put him up against any other SEC/NCAA coach and not be disappointed. He's basically a decent man who likes people in general...unlike his counterpart to the northeast. Let's see how this pans out before we point fingers at the staff. It's counterproductive all around...assuming you really truly love LSU like I do. Go Tigers!

he had a three way call between hootie and jamal too discuss his decision.

Obviously discussing what Bama did to piss Hootie off, and why CJ shouldn't go there.
that was my first thought when I read that.

I WANT to take this as a sign that Adams is LSU bound (assuming it did happen). But that's just the "wishful" in me making up shite in my own head to be a pumper.

Family friend called LSU. Was told they were about to practice, talk later. Apparently later meant much later.

appreciated JJ27.

and yes, you and Fishhead are saying different things. That's ok.

I'll take it upon myself to consider the info. No spoon feeding required.

Well I hope the coaches call back or Hootie contacts Brick (or one of the other coaches) to find out exactly what is going on. This is certainly a bizarre situation.

I know what Fishead is talking about. I also know what was said in that conversation.

I think that some fans have forgotten what insane stuff went on with L.C. last year...this kid jerked off LSU all the way up the process...if my memory is correct, he showed up on campus at a late date and continued the drama...this insanity needs to end...it is not healthy for any one concerned.

See now that is good discussion and doesnt come across as emotionally charged rambling. I could believe something like that. Still not sure if its true but who knows. Thanks for the intelligent response though

Well, IF the coaches aren't cotacting Hootie we have to consider:

- the possibility that one party or the other "cancelled" the EE financial agreement and that they don't have unfettered contact with him during this period.

- possibility that the EE status has changed. Seen several here, I think Fishhead and Nevilletiger, say it hasn't. And does that void that financial agreement and it's unlimited contact.

- the third possibility, which I don't want to say. But it's obvious what it is if they do have unlimited contact with Hootie. Silver lining to this 3rd possibility is that this could mean LSU has a silent from Adams (and has talked to Paris, Voorhies, etc about playing S). This is another can of worms that has already been discussed here.

If the contact maker is one of the King's, can't say that I blame LSU for not getting back to them. Laurence is a big boy, he should make the contact.

Same if it's Bakari Guice.

(purely hypothetical)

If one of the King's or Guice contacted me, and if I'm in CLM/CFW's shoes it's not an emotional response. It's a lack of response based on [recent] history and protecting the club's interests.

This seems to be all we know at this point.

The real reasonof why did he decommit from Bama is relevant- not sure anyone knows this.

Also why not just come out and say I want to be a Tiger, if he really wants to come to LSU and thats why he decommitted.

Ole Miss is my answer at this moment. Its the only thing that makes sense to me.

jmo,I have no idea, went to the school know several people still in the Neville circle, they dont know anything either.

Phil is my kinda guy and Im glad someone finally called out Hootie and had some input on why Miles and staff may just flat out pass on him.

The politically correct thing is to get Hootie committed any way you can.

U win a turf battle with your rival, u strengthen your fence around the state, and he helps win the "recruiting title". No brainer right?

What does Miles do:
Doesnt return the phone call.....

There's a man comfortable in his own skin.

Hootie, Adams, Hampton three way call would really be interested in the details of that conversation. Prior to this Hampton was a possible flip to Bama. Hootie and Hampton are tight from what i have read here. ????? Inquiring minds want to know.

Without reading through all these damn posts, how do we know that there was a 3-way call between Adams, Hootie & CJ??

I think that the tweet was orchestrated to be honest. I think that either Les or another staff member put him up to it. . I've never seen PP7 tweet any other recruit. The staff knows that PP7 is this kid's idol. IMO There's no way that PP7 just up and tweeted that of his accord. That man don't have the time to follow LSU recruiting the way that we do. I seriously doubt that he even knew who Hootie was prior to this week. That's just my opinion on it. Everyone has one.

All I know is that Ole Myth fans are getting awfully cocky, saying they're flipping some of our commits. Think they even Re-painted their 2003 SEC West Division Champions Sign. Like Gumps, just no skins on the wall.

They have it in their head they are going to keep Hampton, reel in Hootie, and steal Adams right out from under us.

boy are they gonna be upset when they find out Quinn just wanted to visit, Adams never had interest, and Speaks flips soon after the Jan 2nd commit bash.
