Announcing tommorrow, any chance we keep the momentum going and get a commit from this guy?

Two answers and they are both contradicting. Total opposites.
So basically we don't know.
Cited on this board James smith and Demetric Warren (247 crystal ball) has him coming to us.
Hamm the Aggies mod is stating a&m
And some random posters are claiming they hear Tejas.
Take it all for what it's worth. Only hill and his family really knows.

What time is it going down?

If Jimmy Detail says he's coming to DBU then Hill is coming to DBU

I don't mean to downgrade him, after all I am from Texas and really enjoying seeing LSU sign Texas players, but with Dillon still a pretty good possibility, does LSU really need another DB/athlete type? It seemed like, as usual, that need has been addressed extremely well already.
I would still hope the need at linebacker and on the defensive line could be addressed, with not that many scholarships still left, if LSU keeps all the present commitments.

Dillon is a WR.

I still don't understand why we are going hard after CBs. We have 6 on roster and 2 more who will sign on NSD. Even if you say Lewis will be a safety, 7 is enough for a 2 man rotation, 3rd string for both spots, plus a nickel corner. Then Lewis will play down at nickel if we happen to need him (this is assuming he gets moved to safety).
We also have the # 4, 5, and 6th CBs highly interested in us next year as well as the #1 CB, who they say is Hargreaves level good in his knowledge of the position.

Because our CBs on the roster are unproven and we don't know of they are any good outside of White.
Thomas-hes a nickel and I'm not sure he can cover all game long
Paris-no experience and many still believe he's a S. Is he ready to cover all game long?
Gage-we know absolutely nothing about him or if he can cover
Mills-is he a CB or S? Only guy I trust opposite of White currently on the roster and he isn't elite.
Now the freshmen
Toliver-wouldnt be surprised if he starts day one.
Lewis-is he a CB or a S? Is he ready to play every down or big snaps?
Cutrer-is he a CB and is he gonna make it in?
Jackson-better be ready because we need him to be.
This is why we are still pursuing CBs. Our depth is all numbers at this point and since Raymond has seen these kids for a year he knows what they are capable of and he still wants CBs. That tells me some of the guys on the roster aren't ready, aren't good enough or aren't CBs.

Hard to believe Hill would pass that many already committed that the staff would be that worried.

Who you have on your roster has almost nothing to do with it. When these recruits are experienced enough to be relied upon we will no longer have those other guys on our roster.
Every year we are burned by having to rely on inexperienced talent. This year would have been a championship contending team if we had an experienced QB, DTs, and MLB. But three years ago some were probably posting that we don't need DTs because Bennie Logan was on the roster. Well, where the heck is Bennie now?
Our top need right now, based on who has already committed, is DT and LB. But people will post that it's DE because we lost our starters. DE is a need, but at least we have one committed. We have zero DTs! In three years we will be starting our 2016 recruits because we have no one else. We'll be lucky indeed if they are ready.

IMO, we typically lose DBs after 3 years. Here's the attrition looking at this season and next.
T White
R Jefferson
J Collins (already gone)
R Robinson (grades)
J Mills
D Thomas (likely if he stays healthy)
and two roster guys (graduated)

How many DBs do we need?
If we do not get any bodies in the trenches (and LBs), every opponent will have a QB sitting in the pocket with NO pressure and will tear the greatest DBs to shreds.
Hopefully, Coach O pulls off some surprises with CeCe, Arden and Leo.

Yes LSU is recruiting him now as a WR but initially we pursued him as a DB and that's why he was looking elsewhere.

No disrespect meant but Jimmy doesn't get it right all the time. Remember Buga and Saban to Texas last January?

In this day and age, you need a plethora of DBs to cover. Most of these guys won't see the field a ton this year and will adjust to the speed of the game. After this season, we lose a few starters and will need these guys to step up with the experience they got this year. If we have the space to sign these guys, and aren't seeing the positions filled anywhere else, why not?
