Hill is going to Auburn for the same reason that Greg Robinson is going to Auburn. They believe that there is less talent at their position on the Auburn roster and they won't have as much competition for the job.
With Greg Robinson, this suggests to me he is both soft and illogical. He is afraid of competition mainly from other players that are not even starters in college (Faulk, Washington and Collins) yet thinks he has a shot at the NFL.
I do believe that Hill is not this soft and that it is his mom trying to get him to go. His mom lacks the confidence in his talents that he has.
My beef with Hill is that while he started going about this the right way, he appears to be playing games ("My top 2 are Bama and LSU" while all but committed to AU). We'll see how it plays out.
I personally don't even give a shite anymore. Sure, I'd love to have Hill but it's not like we're hurting at RB. If he wants to go elsewhere than I wish him good luck. I'm just sick of hearing about this ONE Goddamn player every single day. I guess there has to be one every year.

When a USC fan comes to Auburn's defense, you know something's up. I honestly don't care how ridiculous we look. I had already accepted that Bama was in the lead when I heard he was an AU silent. I had no problem then because Bama doesn't brazenly flaunt dirty recruiting tactics.

Anytime I hear about players going out of state, and their families relocating with them, I have to question "how". Just like when Chris Duhon went to Duke, and his family just picked up and went with him. I'm in the process of moving from NC to VA and I know how difficult it is, particularly if you own a house.

And it was a ridiculous response. Again, your assuming. Who knows how much she makes. Do you? Maybe she has a decent paying job. Maybe she has a family member who can pay for it. Maybe she has family in Alabama that can help get her on her feet when she arrives. Then again, maybe she doesn't, but until you know the absolute facts about what kind of money the family has, with all due respect, it's probably best to not assume they're some dirt poor people that can't afford to move to another state.

Maybe because G. Rob's mom is much more understanding? Maybe she wants him to go to LSU but is willing to suppot him wherever and Hill's mom is putting him in a more difficult situation. We don't know for sure the dynamics of these guys's family relationships.

Is it that hard to comprehend that 2 different individuals can have completely different maternal relationships?
What you aren't understanding here is that I am repeating information from folks who got their information directly from Hill. These people are paid to get it right. Taken individually, you can discount it. . .but when you hear it from multiple independent sources, it stops being rumors and speculation and starts being "what is".
You can call the situation improbable, unlikely, retarded, stupid, or whatever pejorative your mind wants to use. . .but it doesn't change reality, it only coddles your perception of it.

Ok, then just switch the terms out. Hill likes other schools so much more he committed to LSU extremely early, played a big part in recruiting other in state players, and was committed for 15 months. Makes perfect sense. That's what most kids do.

I am not assuming anything. I don't know him or his family or their current circumstances. I hope he ends up in purple and gold. Something happened, that is the only thing I know. He knows. I am just reading a bunch of stuff posted by a bunch of people who haven't ever met him or his family. Making all kind of crazy assumptions. If people start suspecting things are rotten when a proven cheater enters the picture, then that is just what it is. And yes I said it, Auburn hopefully will get penalized for what they are doing. In the mean time, he is just a kid and if he is being directed to do what is not in his heart, then it is just a shame.
