Is LSU planning to give Brewster equity in the school to outbid Tech?
I think Texas tech is going to do everything to keep Brewster, some of which they already have.
Sometimes it's too costly to buy out these nil deals. Tech has been paying him for a while.

TT is willing to pay whatever to keep him there. It’s up to the kid to see past just money and what being at LSU will give him long term.

Yes he can go to Texas Tech where he will be guaranteed to win absolutely nothing of significance but get paid well. Because you and I both know Texas Tech never had nor probably never will win anything. Or come to LSU and still get paid well and actually have a shot at winning a title.

Crazy times
Why transfer to a HS multiple states away if you’re sure about sticking to Tech?

I’m trying to read maybe graduating early mixed feelings so far but can’t be a good thing for Tech.

The first reaction I had to his transfer is what you mentioned. Buford (GA) has been very good to LSU in the past and him leaving Texas takes away the local pressure of "staying in-state". My gut instinct tells me he will sign with LSU.

Apparently, you don't know that Texas has a LAW that prohibits NIL deals involving HS players. Bottom line: Texas Tech is standing on NO LEGAL GROUND to have paid him anything.

That doesn't mean shite. Just look at who his agent is. His agent is on the deal for his house in Lubbock. They can get around that.
The purchase was made by the ‘J Brewster Living Trust’ on February 17th. His father, Robert, and agent, Derrick Shelby, are listed on the paperwork.
house deed
I still think lsu has a chance. Supposedly lsu has offered 1.5 for his first yr and tech was at 1 mil.

As we all know NCAA rulings mean "shite" but Texas law is quite different. In fact there has been some intent on removing that restriction but Texas and the UIL have stood firm. So once again, HS players can't receive money if they attend TX HS. As some posters have said, that is probably the main reason he moved to a GA HS
As far as the agent's purchase of his house, that is "college school neutral" so doesn't mean squat as far as being in Texas Tech's favor. Second, that money is chicken feed for the numbers you yourself provided as to NIL value...not to mention that the $300+ purchase price has to take into account that the asset/home which is obviously worth something is no longer a Brewster asset....in other words, that is not pure profit or NET payment to the family. It is a gross payment.

Surely he can afford a better house than that
