He's more of an upside guy than being currently good, but he's the type of guy who could be the top pick in the draft if he pans out. I know that OU and A&M really want him. I've heard that he's a great kid, and he's a coach's son. Just needs to learn how to be more consistent at winning his assignment on a play by play basis, which might come once he grows into his frame.

I know he looked good in last years camp but you have to wonder where he is on the board right now. LSU is in the lead group for a bunch of top OL right now with at least 3 of them visiting before the summer.

We need like 4 OTs this year. Take him if he wants in.

Yea, they don’t have that many OT that they are a shoe in for right now either. A lot of guys high on them, but most are considered heavy leans elsewhere

Getting a grasp of our board is gonna be interesting. Some big time kids we are right in the lead group for.

Brockermeyer, which includes filling the C position. Bama is gonna be tough to beat.
Latham, us and OSU head to head it seems. Gonna be a battle but winnable
Have the Midwest kids we've had on campus that could play tackle or guard. None are really projectable at this point but we are getting visits
Leigh, I think we are gonna land him. Can be an anchor of the OL class even if we hit on another big one or 2.
Mims, gonna be near impossible to beat out UGA and Bama but we'll battle.
The state of Texas has a gluttony of kids, like Fatheree, that can be projectable but are more back end of the OL class type guys. You can take one or 2 solid depth/projection guys early then push for the big ones or wait out a few of the big ones then push for the bottom end guys.
Then TX has a guy like Savion Byrd, who's talent levels is a little higher that you're purely projecting the best of. He's a type that you don't turn away but have to add around.
No excuse to not come out with a big timer and at least a couple of depth, future builders in this class. Too many strong kids in our direct recruiting landscape.

LSU is probably in the top group for

Brockermeyer
Tristan Leigh
JC Latham
Savion Byrd

And Mims wants to visit.

All of these guys may end up going elsewhere but LSU could also get multiple guys from that list.
