I just saw where Zalance Heard caught a pass for a touchdown in the All-Star game. Can you imagine how many linebackers and defensive backs will crap their pants if they saw him going out for a pass? Lol And he caught it with ease! He looked like he's done it before many times!!

He would be a great at TE in the jumbo package, or declared as eligible, and use as a distraction; sets up so many options, and the defense has so much to think about….

I understand (or hope) this is just a joke related to his catch. But a demonstration of why it shouldn’t be anything more than a dumb joke - who would you sit for Heard? Grant it, we don’t have a plethora of bodies for TE. But to change positions, he’d need at least 1 year to be transform his body (unless he’s playing there at +300lbs) and learn position. By that time, we’d have the next class coming in with 2 expected top notch TE recruits who’d presumably pass Heard. Then you’re left with a 5* OT riding the bench wasted.

I really don’t mind him checking in as TE for the max number of snaps (not sure how many….maybe all?) just to confuse defense
