Bama had a 4 star committed for 2027 as does LSU. Why was there not much emphasis to have Houston and Haven on the same roster? Haven not going to LSU wasn’t because we had another QB committed. Weird

Lane didn't think he was worth the coin, Bama did.

We have longstreet as a rs fr and landen clark as. Soph. Our commit will be qb3.. longstreet was a 5 star ranked right there with haven in his own class. You then need to look at fits in lanes offense, which the 2 on the roster next yr + our elite commit are probably better fits. Haven was never considering lsu on top of that. Move on

This is not the same game as 5-10 years ago. High school five star QBs don’t have nearly the same value they did now that we are in the age of the transfer portal. Certainly you aren’t going to pay TWO top tier high school kids to sit on your roster for a year just for one or both to leave. Even more so when you can go pay an experienced college qb to come in and start

Three different responses and I think every one of them is right. Deboer's seat is heating up, he needs this recruiting victory and is willing to overpay for it. What better way to get fans excited about the future than signing the #1 ranked QB.

Off the top of my head I think Bama has more high prospect depth than LSU..,kid was never coming here. But but but LSU is his dream school…gtfo.

i agree money will always play a factor in recruiting, in some situations, this is all some families have to fall back on, not the case for Elijah, both of his parents are successful in their careers. So yes, money is important, but his family not putting pressure on Elijah to support the family.

Deboer’s seat just cooled considerably with the contract extension.

I immediately give up any hope with recruits when they say LSU is their dream school.

It's a pretty simple answer isn't it? Kiffin obviously didn't think he was worth whatever his asking price was. Meanwhile, he recruited Longstreet in HS and now has him on LSU's roster who was a big recruit himself. Kinda answers itself doesn't it?

Why would you pay the asking price for 2 HS QBs when the value is in portal QBs now? You have no idea what you're getting out of those 2. The portal QBs are proven at the college level. You also not keeping both on the roster anyway so it's a waste of time.
