This is what I have heard also.

Would not mind holding the scholly and taking 3 next year if we miss out on Joiner.

Why do you say doubtful?

Just what I've heard. The staff thinks they're in good shape with Joiner.

I'll be honest - I would have zero problem if we ended up with Brumfield instead of Joiner. Joiner is a kid who will need a lot of coaching in college to fix that straight-up running style, whereas Brumfield is a natural back. The downside is Brumfield isn't very fast, but we've had some pretty good backs who didn't have a lot of speed (Charles Scott, Steven Ridley, Dalton Hilliard, Eddie Fuller, Spencer Ware). If you get a guy who consistently drags defenders past the chains, do you care what his 40 time is?

I like this Brumfield kid. Great vision, strong, tenacious. Not very fast but that's not a deal breaker imho. Joiner is faster but is very upright and his cuts are choppy. I'm no recruitnik but no Joiner, Brumfield is a take. My two cents.

Sure it does.

Not at all. There are positive and negative conclusions that can be mentally constructed either way.

We approached him to reschedule. He feels flattered that we want to make him more of a priority and get more one on one time with him. Or, he feels blown off and put out that he's got to rearrange his travel plans. Or, he's friends with some of the guys who are visiting this weekend and is upset that he's not getting to visit with his boys. Now, he's pissed at us and decides to commit to Auburn this weekend.

He approached us to reschedule. He got the chance to go to the iron bowl and just wants to go there but it has nothing to do with anything other than that's a much better game to attend than LSU/A&M. Or, he wants to go commit to Auburn this weekend and we had to beg him to even agree to reschedule.

LSU needs more than "OK" at running back. This offense is run oriented. And if CEH was so good, you would think he would've gotten more snaps when Guice was banged up.
