Hard to conclude anything other than Cortez Hankton got owned in this recruiting cycle.

Whiffed on Dakorien Moore, Meadows, Lockett, Ffrench. Our top WR gets are #25 and 47 in position rankings.

I agree that WR is something we should be okay at, but Hankton can't feel good about this year's haul.

By whiffed do you mean he got outbid?

I mean look at last years HS WR class, nothing to right home about so far. This season too to bottom was one of the worst receiving corps in a while. Maybe Hankton ain’t it.

Yep, it’s a different game now. Hankton may not have been given much money to work with.

I may be incorrect but I remember Georgia fans saying that they weren’t sad to see him go.

I think we could probably do better than him. Don’t know who’s out there though

Bro way too early. This is a new day. Transfers will come just like they have the last few cycles. Those are the contributors. These guys coming in are the guys you want. Stop basing your “analysis” on some rankings only.

I agree. Recruiting cycle…. He got owned.

Let’s talk later about the coaching cycle… that’s what matters

Hankton needs to find a new job for sure. He has been the consistent weakest link since he's been here.

Hankton didn’t whiff!!! It’s all about the money. Coach relationships don’t mean much anymore. The only coaches that matter are mom and dad!!

Moore - $, Lockett - $, and Ffrench -$. Meadows was a play with QB thing all the way. Once he was gone, he was gone. Texas and Oregon through around serious money. If you made $100,000 and was offered same job making $1,000,000, you would jump too, no matter what the recruiter/boss said. LOL

It's the money as much as anything. Plus WR's in general tend to be the most me first types. At least in my opinion.

So Hankton doesn’t get any credit for Nabers and Thomas development?

What about development of Aaron Anderson? I honestly would rather take unheralded local guys at receiver (we have a better track record). Spend money elsewhere.

We had two first round WR's taken in the 2024 draft and the guy that coached them is our weakest link?? Please make it make sense

I care more about the work he's done with developing our WRs. I wouldn't worry about missing out on a bunch of out of state WRs.

Brian Kelly talked about this in his press conference. Each player is valued differently by teams. For example, we have Pimpton and Green who are tall receivers like Meadows. Therefore, we value Meadows less than another team who has no receivers of that size. Hankton hit on the kid from Karr who will be the next great LA receiver, Kyle Parker, CJ Daniel’s, Pimpton and Green. It’s a numbers game and it’s clear we’re spending money in the trenches - building from the inside out.

We got 2 four star receivers including the best receiver in the state with zero drama involved with either today. If the OP just wants to be mad he needs to find another target
