LSU did not ink anyone in the early period of recruiting, Desiderio was our one 2018 commit but she came a year early.

It is my understanding from a few birdies that LSU will likely add a transfer sometime next Spring

2019 Class

LSU currently has 3 commits, Bailey Ferrer, Kai Rivers, and Caitlin Smith.

Molly frack used to be a commit but after a major injury LSU pulled her scholarship. She recently has been training. Auburn offered her a scholly so she will be at Auburn.

LSU looks to add Trinity Thomas to this class. She is considered one of the best gymnasts in the world. It was thought that LSU, UCLA, Bama and Florida and possibly Georgia were the major players

I am very optimistic about landing trinity from a few sources I have. I know one of her coaches and she told me she LOVED LSU and from her visit, it looked like she had a blast. She recently has liked a bunch of LSU stuff on social media over the last month, it seems that LSU could be the one to beat at the moment. LSU feels pretty good about their position with Trinity. Trinity is a recruit that could step in and dominate collegiate level immediately, there is not a weak event for her.

I would like to update fans on some of the 2019 recruits

Bailey Ferrer recently had a shoulder surgery this past summer but is now training. She is one of the top 5 level 10 gymnasts in the country. Extremely powerful, she competes a front pike vault which is a 10.0 vault at the NCAA level. She is considered one of the best vaulters in the country.
On floor she trains and competes a double Arabian which is an E level skill, middle pass is a front handspring with a 1 1/2 twist, ends with a double back.

On bars she has excellent form, just needs to make sure her toes are always pointed. My only real criticism for her.

Bailey really is an excellent arounder who can be an All American easily on all events. She doesn't really have many weak spots IMO

Kai Rivers is considered by almost everyone as the top level 10 gymnast in the country. She comes from the same gymnastics facility as Nichols from OU. She completely dominated every event this past year

On vault she competes a double twisting yurchenko which is the same vault gnat competed at LSU. Extremely difficult vault but she is ridiculously consistent. One of the best vaulters in the country by far.

On floor she is ridiculous, first pass is a double layout which is an E level skill

She truly is another Edney but possibly even better. She can step in and put up 9.9 scores on every event.

Caitlin used to be an elite but now competes at level 10. Caitlin is very talented, just needs to work on consistency but I could see her have a major impact on events such as beam and bars. Bars, she has nice difficulty, some difficult releases and transitions between bars.

This class is already considered one of the top classes in the country. Adding Trinity really would make this a scary group to deal with for 4 years.

Let me know if yall have any questions!

We have no one committed or signed for 2018? That seems a bit unusual and a little unhealthy.

They already have 18 gymnasts on the roster with only 12 scholarships available and only a couple of seniors. The future is incredibly bright. If they can finally surpass Oklahoma this could be a dynasty for years to come with the facilities and the fan base.

Rebecca D'Antonio is a walk on from New Orleans committed for 2018.

Is there a backstory to this commitment. Her history on the gymnastic scoring site is very limited and seems to have a lot of gaps. Her scores are only average and certainly not what one would expect for a gymnast to be accepted into the LSU program. I don't mean to disparage this young lady, just curious as to where she might fit on a powerhouse program.

She’s a camp kid that has solid skills but trained at a gym with limited facilities. Stayed pretty beat up with injuries. Switched gyms a couple months ago and was able to get some great skills on video. Also an excellent student.

Rebecca has had a lot of injuries over the past few years. She is extremely capable, IMO she hasn't received the best training

Also I forgot to mention!

Aleah Finnegan, Sarah's sister, who is considered one of the top gymnasts in the country will compete as an elite gymnast next season from what I'm told!

Welcome to the elite world!

I had the opportunity to see her train not long ago and she has a ridiculous vocabulary of skills. She can make a major splash this upcoming year competing as an elite. Aleah hopes to follow in her sisters foot steps. Sarah came on extremely late right before the 2012 Olympics and made it as an alternate. Aleah Gymnastics already looks very much like her sisters!

She is a 2021 commit, she committed to us this summer. UCLA was the other school in the mix

She will be on campus fall of 2021. She is an excellent all arounder

She is an excellent tumbler and seems to be just as powerful as Sarah was when she was elite

Like her sister she truly is a beamer, she is a natural on this event. She is a bit ahead of where Sarah was in terms of vaulting. Bars have definitely come ways, I expect a drastic turn around come next season. She has some of the best coaches in the country

Not sure if any of yall watched Sarah Finnegan when she competed at the elite level. If yall ever have the chance, look it up on YouTube

Olivia Dunne has upgraded her bars routine, more connections between skills. Olivia is really a special talent capable of making an olympic team if she continues to develop and add difficulty.

Elena Arenas looks incredible. Friend of mine sent me some clips of her training and she really improved a lot over the last few months. On bars she had added more connections, form continues to improve. She is currently adding more difficulty to her floor.

I am excited to see how Aleah does in year one as an elite. She couldn't have better coaches. She is ridiculous on floor. Only weak event is bars but she has improved immensely recently. her pirouettes are a bit inconsistent but I expect to be much better in a few months

Tori Tatum a 2021 commit has added massive upgrades to her tumbling passes.

Mckenna's sister Emma competes a beautiful double twisting yurchenko. She is powerful on floor as well. To be honest she is much further in her skills than where Mckenna was back then.

As always thank you for the information...do you know if the site/date for US Nationals has been decided? All i can find is Greensboro for rhythmic, acro, etc.The organization has so much going on now I guess it’s not a priority, but it won’t be long til summer is here again.
