Wrong again, but nice try. A simple reading of my post states "to pick", indicating a future event, and further indicates that it represents the divination of the predictor.

I have a couple of questions:
1.) What are our chances with this guy, Gunner Keil?
2.) What other QB's are we serious about?
3.) How many QB's will we sign? 1 or 2?

So if Keil comes to LSU, the plan I'm imagining in my head is:
Mettenberger: starts 2012(JR), 2013(SR)
Keil: redshirts 2012,backup 2013(FR), starts 2014(SO),2015(JR),2016(SR).
That would be 5 years of top notch quarterbacking.
Is this what other people are seeing in their long term plan?

Do we have any realistic shot at Keil?

Update: Visiting Notre Dame actually today and tomorrow instead of the weekend.
Could be visiting a school "outside the midwest" this weekend hence the early arrival and departure
Look out for USC
I stole this information some other board sorry if already shared

I think so - a kid comes down on an unofficial, then is interested enough to turn around, and come right back a couple of days later on an official. I know the compressed timeframe is partly due to his early enrollment status, but still - we got one of the visits - odds are he goes to 1 of the schools he visits.
The development of this was a little late, but we've clearly never given up on him and are holding the QB spot until he says otherwise. We may take Alford and Liggins - but I'm not sure that's highly likely, if Kiel goes elsewhere. We may take Alford even if we do take Kiel, but that may be up to Alford at that point.

Liggins seems like a good, versatile player to take if we have room. It's not often that we recruit an athlete who could maybe play QB, TE, DE, or DT.

I think Liggins is going to Auburn based on what he has been saying lately

It is his prediction at least.
He also predicted we get Alford.

it is interesting that he skipped out on the ND banquet to go visit usc. it doesn't seem that he is a lock to nd. we seem to be in good shape

not confirmed that he is going to USC but been to ND many times so doesnt require the full official visit. would surprise me if he doesnt choose ND..it would be like Kenny Hilliard choosing ND..

Still sounds like LSU is in the lead. A couple of weeks ago it appeared to be between LSU and ND to me. Now ND looks less likely. So USC or LSU and we/I already believe that LSU has made a big impression on him with the quick official visit he took.
Not a lock but I am feeling good about this one going our way.
